There was something very eerie about this. I just now found online that In August of last year (2015), Daily mail, a British newspaper, published an interview by Angelea who reported that she felt she wasn't given the same opportunity as other women because she was disqualified due to her past as an escort. She says she only worked as an escort for 3 weeks and that the man who led her into that work had merely asked, "Do you want to make some money?" and offered to discuss it over drinks and a meal. She was surprised and had no idea that he would offer escorting. Angelea also says that Tyra exploited women on the show and kept them from eating and drinking for hours on end during filming; she thinks it's because the show needed drama, and starving people causes them to be irritable. I feel so much empathy for Angelea. I don't think a past like that should have disqualified her.
