I always get SO excited seeing you do makeup on people. I hope you’ll do a 90s “everyday” natural makeup like Friends vibes. But friends like season 1-2 type of makeup aesthetic where they truly enhance one’s natural features.

Who in their right mind would thumbs down this video? It's educational, it's diverse, it's warm hearted, it's practical, it's entertaining, it's natural... amazing!
If it makes you feel better most good makeup videos get about 2% thumbs down in comparison to thumbs up. Lisa’s get 1%. Although I think it’s crazy to thumbs down these, I can still see the rate is very small.
Sometimes people can’t afford the products, don’t like the model, annoyed because the model already looks great without makeup, get offended by something silly….. you never know with people!

I’ve only ever seen tutorials on very pale skin (pastels) and on deep skin (bright or fluorescent colors).

I keep going back and forth on Fawn! Will it look orange on me? But what a gorgeous rosy tawny color… but I turn rosewood shades straight up orange… but it’s so pretty… the struggle lol.

I can only imagine how satisfying it is as a makeup artist to create a perfect look on such a lovely model. Zara has such strong feautures to "play" with; the long expanse of her eyelids, beautiful bee-stung lips and high cheekbones must be a MUA's dream. And she seems so delightful and sweet. Yes! Many 1940s, 1950s tutorials are not very authentic. They don't get the lip shape right, they use winged eyeliner for every look, etc. I wish Lisa would make a series of vintage looks.

I was already in love with the look upon seeing the thumbnail, but when you did the final reveal with the hair all done up, I literally gasped (with hand on mouth and everything). I'm very late to the party with this video here. I am watching this beautiful video to see how to wear my makeup as a wedding guest to my niece's wedding. As I was watching I couldn't help but think that I am watching this during Women's History Month and Lisa has done so much for us over her career. She is such a beautiful example of women supporting women and I am so grateful that I have come to know her and her work through this YT channel. She has taught me so much, as she has for all the women here, about how to present myself to the world more confidently and helping me to feel beautiful. Her approach is so natural. Her wealth of information is astounding and she presents it all to us with such grace and poise. Lisa, I'm attending a very small summer garden wedding that starts at 3 pm, and this is exactly the look I want to achieve.: soft, shimmery eyes, minimal eyeliner, subtly highlighted cheeks, luminous but-natural-looking skin, MLBB lip color. I'm wearing a "floaty" deep green dress and nude-color sandals and had been thinking that Velvet Muse would be perfect for an afternoon event outdoors...this video convinced me that what I envisioned is exactly right! Whenever I find myself getting ready for a special occasion I find myself here- with you. Not only for inspiration but for company, too. Make-up is something reserved for special occasions like weddings or birthday parties, and I love the whole feeling the makeup lends to the day. My children notice right away when I've done something, and always hang around me, admiring the colors or shapes. It's a mood elevator I only indulge in now and again, but damn it's so fun. Especially now that I've learned techniques from you that gave me confidence in my make up application and finish. Such fun to be a woman 👠
