Hello Wendy, I just found your videos. I'm anxious to watch more. You have a great style of teaching new ideas. Thank you for sharing.
Suzanne
Your sewing space looks very organised with your shelves behind. A noisy sewing space tour would be great 😊
Thank you for your lovely comments and I hadn’t thought of a sewing room tour, so I’ll have a think about that.😍
@@WendyPooleTheDressmaker glad I found you looking forward to future content.
Some denim shorts for your grandson would be great if you have enough denim left over
That would be fun! Thank you, glad you enjoyed it and welcome.🥰✂️
Hello Wendy, thank you for your vlog ,which I found to be informative with not too much unnecessary chat !!!!
I’m not on instagram so I shall look forward to following you on your CZcams channel to which I have just subscribed.
Love both your pattern and fabric choices😊
Subscribing!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it and welcome.🥰✂️
Thank you Wendy. I’m so enjoying your channel and your makes are fabulous. Regards from Wendy in Cape Town South Africa xx
Thank you for the lovely welcome and gosh, how wonderful the internet is, that we all connect! Sending greetings to South Africa.😍
FABULOUS vlog xxx
I have made the Cielo dress 4 times(2 for me, 1 for each of my daughters), it is definitely one of my favorite patterns. the red is lovely!
Thank you and yes isn’t it a fab pattern that suits so many of us. I love it when you can make good use of a pattern and 4 makes is brilliant.❤
Hi Wendy, how lovely to find you at the start of your channel! I would love it if you could do a sew along for the toddler shirt as I’m new to making such tiny things and could use something to give me a bit of courage. I’ve found that come of the toddler patterns sizing is a bit hit and miss, I made some PJs for my 2 year old grandson and they were massive on him, he’s not small for his age at all. It would be so nice to have some tips from someone with so much experience.
Can’t wait until your next episode x
Hello Wendy that was really enjoyable and very interesting . Keep up the good work and I look forward to watching your next vlog .. 😀😀
Nice to meet you on you tube…thank you for a great vlog…look forward to watching you and your makes…❤😊
Hi Wendy, I’m Diane nice to meet you. Love all your makes, patterns and fabric choices. They are lovely. Looking forward to see your plans come to fruition. 😊🇨🇦
Hi Wendy - just found you and really enjoyed your video so I have subscribed. I work in Truro and didn't realise Truro Fabrics did a Sewing Society. I have been learning to sew for about a year - have all the gear but no idea - actually that is untrue as I have made several garments which I do wear but recently have lost my confidence so I have signed up for the next fortnightly session (this weeks was full I guess as I couldn't click on it) I love your Cielo top and dress - I think I will order this. I have made the Patina twice and have a 3rd one cut out which has been on my table for 3 weeks ..... look forward to your video re fitting as this would be so useful - thank you
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it - yes Truro Fabrics is great isn’t it! I teach there as well and will more likely bump into you at one of the events there, so be sure to say hello..🥰✂️
Hello Wendy, isn't the cielo a great pattern? The red dress is fantastic on you and I am inspired! Looking forward to your next vlogs. Thanks Angela
Yes, it is!❤ Thank you and thank you for your lovely comment.😍
PS - the shelves behind your sewing machines with all the stacked clear containers are fabulous.
I need to get organized and I love your space saving idea!
Thank you, it really does help to keep everything in its right place. 😍✂️x
Yes ! Make the dress😅 love that fabric. Debbie here, as FPC have sale on I am going to buy the Patina. I do have a very similar pattern but has a grown on sleeve which I have made many times. Will You be showing us how to do these adjustments? Always wanting to learn more. Really enjoyed this vlog and look forward to more. Off to follow you on IG x x take care
Great vlog. Thank you for sharing the dressmakers dummy, I didn’t know there was one specially for trousers, so I ’ve learnt something new today
You are so welcome!🤗 xx
Thank you for you lovely comment and yes it’s quite interesting about the dressmaking form, they’re quite an outlay so it’s good to know what types there are.😍✂️x
Thank you for your vlog , I have the Cielo pattern and have never made it so thank you for reminding me 🤣. I look forward to your future vlogs.😃
Just came across your channel. Subscribed straight away! Delighted with your vlog. I'll definitely be a regular viewer. Thank you
Great blog. The red dress looks great on you and the color is fab❤
I’m so pleased I have found your blog. I have the same problems with sizing and buying ready made clothes. I’m only 5’2” but have a larger bust. I’m quite new to dressmaking and always try to buy patterns that have a fb option. Please keep bringing your vlogs. Xx
Hi Wendy, nice to meet you. Red dress fits great. Very cute. Love the top you're wearing too. I just subscribed, look forward to seeing more of what you sew up.
Really enjoyed your vlog - loved your organisation you can see behind you 🙂
Thank you so much and I really enjoy watching yours too and love your new Nell top!
Hi Becky, thank you so much for your lovely comment. Honestly that unit helps keep me in check! 😂Just watched your vlog too and loved it too, plus really enjoyed your bag unboxing. Take care and thank you again. 🥰xx
Hello Wendy, delighted to have found you, your fitting issues sound very similar to mine so I'll hopefully pick up some tips from you. I'm off to find you on Instagram now 😊
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it and welcome.🥰✂️
Hi Wendy, I have just found your channel. I also love dressmaking, knitting and crochet. Love the fabrics you have bought. I really must get down to Truro, I live near Launceston. I have now subscribed.
Thank you Wendy I'm so pleased to have found your channel. I have made a couple of the Cielo tops but the neck gaps at the front and I was wondering if you could tell me what adjustment would solve this problem. Thanks again look forward to the next one. Happy sewing.
Thank you for your lovely comments and watching my video. I’d say to try cutting the neckline and shoulder depth for a size or two smaller. I find that can work and is worth a try.😍
New sub here. Great vlog
Welcome and thankyou.😊
Hello Wendy, I love all your makes and fabric choices, but.. I can't stop looking at the "wall" behind you. A perfection to aim for 😍. One small request, if possible; I don't know if it is just my laptop, but your volume is very low with my setting at 100%. Is there something you can do while recording to up the volume? that would be great. Can't wait to see your makes, and maybe some sew-alongs and tutorials. Great start!
Thank you for your kind comments, yes the unit keeps everything tidy for me. I’ll have a look at the sound, I’ve listened it on some different appliances, but am moving over to using a microphone as well, so any issues should be sorted.😍
Hi Wendy, I'm so pleased I've found you. I am quite new to garment making, I am mostly fine with either written instructions or better with a video tutorial. The problem I have is fitting issues. I'm 5'2" with 38" upper bust and 42" full bust and always have the same problem with the gaping at the back neckline. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. I have subscribed and am looking forward to your next video 😊
Thank you, yes I’ll be talking about all sorts of things as I get going and thank you for the welcome.😊
Hi Wendy - I live in Barnstaple and I have been looking for good fabric shops around the South West. I would love some suggestions if you wouldn't mind.
Have you been to Exeter Fabric Centre? that’s an hour or so from Barnstable by car. That’s also very good for dressmaking fabrics. Truro Fabrics is also excellent but that’s down in Cornwall. 😊
