Examining AUKUS and the future of the Indo-Pacific

The United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia reached agreement recently on the export of nuclear submarines to increase the capabilities of the Royal Australian Navy. The agreement is viewed by many as an effort to contain China and bolster the broader American-led effort to deepen alliance capabilities in the Indo-Pacific region. This panel will discuss the agreement, its implications for the tripartite AUKUS alliance, and the future of the Indo-Pacific region.
