Don't buy punch ev , had very bad experience , car brake down on the day of delivery not even cross the Showroom gate. It had brake vibration, drl was not properly fitted, steering was tilted. You cannot trust it.

Sir, I have bought Punch EV 3 months back. Day by day, the range (with AC on) increased from 250 to 300km (with energy efficiency 110-120). We live in north India and during extreme hot weather (40 degree+), the range decreased to 200-210, and energy efficiency increased to 160 (shocking). The climate system is consuming more battery (what I have observed!). Means, range has now decreased from 300 km to 200-220 km, i.e. more than 80-90 kms, which is a big figure! On the other hand, my driving behavior has improved from 7 to 8 (so range should increase, right ?). My daily kilometer calculations are being disturbed and now I am charging my car 3 more days in a month (consuming more electricity). This reduced range issue is also with one of my known, who is also using same PUNCH EV car. One thing more, this issue is not with my friend's Nexon EV, as it's range is reduced by 30-40 km only (during peak summers). Sir, I have approached Tata, but their response is not satisfactory. I have also shared my driving behavior figures, range display screenshots with them. What to do, please help!!

See it is not about new or old drivers. you can take it if you can manage to charge it at home conveniently and you have a service center of the brand near by (within 40-50 km range). but if it is not there then you should choose the brand whose service center is near by your home

see it based on your preferences like safety, mileage, features and brand service center near you safety wise honda is better, mileage wise you know maruti baleno is better, features wise both will give you decent features, aur brand service centre jo ghar ke paas ho. so there are lot of things to be considered before buying a car

I am among first few to take delivery of punch ev, no doubt vehicle is super but facing software issue, vehicle have popped up autonhold failure twice in first 1000 kms run. As per service station software update is expected by 15th Feb.

Hi MotorByte, This is with regard to FAME II subsidies. As as far as I know, it is still currently active till March 2024 and all electric vehicles are included including EV passenger cars. However, responding to my e-mail query on this, TATA MOTORS replied to me negatively and says presently NO SUBSIDIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR EV PASSENGER CARS nerither from Central Government nor State Government (in my case Maharashtra). Almost all online sites still showing that subsidies are indeed active for EV private cars. Please confirm the current status.
this depends on state to state, as i my city (Delhi or Haryana), no subsidy is there. but in UP there is some sort of subsidy is there. This needs to be confirmed from the local dealer and authority only

Tata has reduced the prices of EV recently (Nexon & Tiago), reason because the battery prices have reduced. sure they will do this for Punch in the future
No rear ac vents, no rear charging port, no seat belt weight sensor, no spare wheel. Too much cost cutting for this price. Even tiago ev has basics covered for this.

empowered plus has these extra features: wireless charger, alexa compatilbe, Ventilated Seats, Leatherette seats . and price difference is around 50k. i think it is justified with these features. depends on your requirements

EV doesn't make any sense for now. After 5 - 6 years there is no resale value as car would need a battery change the next year. Also the 5 to 6 lakhs rupees extra for the EV doesn't make sense unless someone is commuting 100 plus kms daily, not to mention non-existent charging infrastructure in Indian highways
we drove tthis car in bangalore when it was launched by Tata, practical range for LR will be 280-300 if you drive it on 60-80 km spedd in a city traffic

Font passenger doesn't get grab handle.
No reading lamps for real passengers.
No sun shades in the doors.
No rear ac vents, no rear charging port, no seat belt weight sensor, no spare wheel. Too much cost cutting for this price.
Even tiago ev has basics covered for this.
There should be one spare wheel. Rest is mind-blowing.
