It was banned in Éire, too! so nothing has really changed... only worse now..... I had it recorded before it was banned.. all those years ago.. great song and as Peter says, sung with passion
@@mikki3562 Yes it was banned from airplay in Ireland.. when it reached the charts, Larry Gogan wasn't allowed play it or even say which number in the charts it was. The sale wasn't banned but the record shops ran out of copies!

Ireland & UK, over Brix-Exit or whatever i's called...I have no opinion on at matter, but..Hearing the news on Planet Rock Radio recently, & this song live being so rare other than youtube....About time, this CD, plus 5 songs that are in beautiful sound quailty I hoped released with decent Promotion, like in the mid to late 70's
So it was not long ago that the English considered the Irish as subhuman and there’s a very real fear in Boston Massachusetts USA that there is a watering down of the Irish 🧬 and that a reunification would preserve something Beautiful🤩
Just a little information to all you wise guys.... The only little problems is that the majority of the population of Ulster doesn't want to be a part of the Irish Republic... A very conservative country where e.g. free abortion and divorce were illegal until a few years ago.......a little respect please for the people who in a total democratic way prefers to remain NorthernIrish.......apart from that and being a total Macca fan, this is as a song quit mediocre.....
