Deryck is one of the best musicians/producers in the game. People have no idea how hard this dude works.
underrated lyric and song writer...very talented guy.
+1
funny
That's a bit of a stretch but keep on simpin'. 🤣
i thought he lost his kidneys
Good to see it's like the 2000s again!
#@$#@, I wish... I'm burned out on all the shitty hip hop these days. I miss the day of guitars... Sum 41, Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, Jimmy Eat World, My Chemical Romance, Brand New, Mars Volta, Sparta, AFI, Saves The Day, etc etc etc...
✊🏻
@@ChadwickRiderwow dude SPARTA

Such a crunchy tune. My Word, Sum41 you have no clue how you're helping an entire generation world-wide hold onto their youth which makes this world suck a bit less.
In my opinion, one of their best tunes since the early 2000s.
THE SUMS! the greatest band of all time. I've seen these dudes live 20 times. When they release thier canadian tour dates ill be taking a leave of absence from work to follow them around the country and see every single show! Sad to see you go, but stoked to see you go out with bang!
The SUMS! 😂😂😂 “Your name is Sven now.”
Do you smoke? You do now!
They're playing at the Rock la Cauze festival in Victoriaville (QC) in August!
number bands are out , blink 182 Green Day 95 . Their irrelevant
Green Day Saviors is number 1 everywhere so @@newmystery7753
Sum 41 has been my favorite band for 23 years now. I’ll miss them so much when they hang it up, but I’m really grateful for this final double album and tour. Killed it tonight! 🤘🏻
I got through high school with them too 💖
This band been around longer it been almost 30 about 28 it was formed in 1996
@@Bmj33429 correct, but I heard them for the first time in 2001.
23 years for me too 🤘
So nice to see Deryck looking healthy and having fun on stage again. Will always love these guys 🤘
I think you mean "Sven"?
Sum41. Chuck album will always be the best for me
chuck is so good
Does This Look Infected is mine ❤
Does this look infected was king 👑
I concur
Underclass Hero is mine❤️
I'm gonna miss these guys. They were part of some awesome times which sadly came to an end rather quickly. Not many of those bands are left today, but Sum 41 definitely aged the best of them all and 27 years is one hell of a run!
blink 182 is right there with them. blinks new album is one of my favorites. I jam out to it every day with my kids. Landmines by sum41 is my 2 year old sons favorite song and he requests it every time. I feel blessed to still be making new memories to new songs by these bands
i went to when we were young last year, which had all of them. sum41 def had the best performance
It feels like I slipped through a time loop into 2005. I miss my childhood so much
Good to see Sum 41 back again ❤️🇨🇦
They never went any where
They've been back officially since 2016
This is the farewell tour lol
Don’t get used to it
Brah 💀😂
I "discovered" these guys at the age of.... wait for it..... 41 😀 (Remembered them from back in the day but it didn't click with me at the time). Since then I've bought all their albums and seen them live probably 10 times. They are a great live band!
Nice man! For me they're the best live band. Seen them 9 times now and got tickets for the upcoming shows in Holland and in Paris🥳
Similar story here. I dug the singles back in the late 90s but lost track of them until they played a festival I was at about 7 years ago. Blew my mind how energetic and tight they were, and I've been following them since. This tour will be my third and presumably final time seeing them. I wish I'd caught on sooner.
Even if their new pop punk single ain't exactly the same as the classics, their blasting energy & performance get to live up to the hype. 10/10 still rocking on top notch, nice one Sum 41.
Sounds like their classics to me. The only difference is you probably haven't heart it as often!
It’s so good tho. I love it.
I mean it’s already good but when you consider they haven’t done pop punk stuff since underclass hero this song is very impressive
@@dylanr.7760 Yeah sure, I mean it barely scratches the grandiose level of pop punk that the Underclass Hero album achieved, but still they got it, and they rip it live
They sound so good live, Sum41 never disappoints
Sum We Are 41 😂 still rocking like they're 21 🤘
love this!!
me too
@walkofftheearth WOTE x Sum 41 Crossover? 😍👀
This rules so much harder than the studio recording does. They're great right now.
Love sum 41!
Whoevers saying deryck is lip syncing clearly never seen them live
what I love about him, is his sincerity and honesty.
I think they’re saving one of the best albums for last…incredible band and career. Sad to see them stop.
I've been listening to this band since I was a kid. The music they put out has resonated with me and evolved along with my age in life. I'm 40 years old now, and it brings a tear to my eye to know that they are ending this journey. However I'm very grateful for all the amazing songs that they have released, and also very excited to see them only for the second time when they come to Atlanta. Godspeed gentleman.
Totally agree I’m gonna tear up when they are gone, Sum41 was also high school for me, I’m 38 and Sum41 still as good as ever !
Finally something good on Jimmy kimmel
total
Alkaline trio was on last week innit.
The good old days of Warped Tour (Suffolk Downs).
sum 41
Haven’t heard bout them in forever! Glad they still making music & we are getting one more album !
Been a fan since I was 9 (32 now) 🤘🤘
I started listening when I was 9 as well. "Open your eyes" was my first song. I'm 24 going 25 this year thankful for every second I've had with their music.
Almost the same for me. Discovered them through the PlayStation 2 Motocross games
Malcolm in the Middle driving school episode
Same here! One of the best bands ever!
31 now. My mom randomly bought me the does this look infected CD when I was 10 and have been in love ever since.
Love this band.
Landmines is their best song in years.
Because it's their only song in years, duh.
I mean years as in like 10-15 years.
@@Blue0000FFthey've had albums in 2019 and 2015
No way 😂Rise up is so much better, this is one of the worst sum songs
Saw them live with The Offspring last year and they’re absolutely fantastic live!!!
Man, so good to see them in fine form again. ❤
Awesome new song and live performance from Sum 41!
Since 2008 when i was at 5th grade of elemntary school, they're my most favourite band, and the next month at 2nd march I'll see them in jogja
Sum 41 was the first band I ever heard, still waiting was the song and I heard it on a Pokémon amv video from over 15 years ago, I was maybe 4-5 when I heard it and I immediately fell in love, a couple years later I heard the hell song then I found out who the actual band was and my love for punk was born, I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for these guys and listening to them and even being lucky enough to have met the entire band in person, I would give anything to see them play one last time live and it breaks my heart to see them break up but I’m also so happy for the literal decades that they blessed our ears and our hearts, I Love you sum 41! SCUMFUCKS NEVER DIE✊
Ahh, it feels like the early 2000's again 😊
I love these guy’s so much. Can’t believe it’s almost over, but thank you for the unforgettable ride
Always been one of the tightest rock bands performing live and still are
His vocals sound fantastic, like the record.
That's cause he is lip syncing to a pre-recorded vocal track. It didn't take me 3 seconds of vocals to know it wasn't him singing live, I'm genuinely shocked by all the compliments from people that somehow missed that.
No way, listen to 1:49, he even stops singing for a short bit
@@trevorD1156nah definitely live. It’s kinda off in some spots pitch wise
@@trevorD1156you must be deaf lol, this is the most obviously not pre recorded performance since he's literally skipping words to breath 😂
❤❤❤
I'm only 17 I'm glad I can still experience them as a teenager they are super inspiring
They still got it!!
Sum 41 reminding me of my childhood!
Actually saw these guys rise to fame
One of my favorite punk band
How time flies by 😥
SUM41!!!
I’m really gonna miss this band. They aren’t my favorite, but they are the band that I’ve seen live the most. I’m gonna see them one last time in New York this year. They will always hold a very special place in my heart
This song and its music video , kinda helped thousands of the fans of sum 41 , bringing back the nostalgia in it and letting us feel that young youth feeling again . I bump the new album daily along with everything else they’ve made !
Loved these guys since All Killer No Filler. Sucks they’re calling it quits but hopefully it won’t be permanent
Got to see these guys over summer. Easily one of the best performances I've ever seen live.
Respect the hell out of this band. They are professional and act it. Been listening since the beginning. (Yeah I know they were goofy in their early years) rather blink break up forever and keep sum 41. But excited to see what deryck does next.
I discovered them recently since I didn't listen to many punk bands in the early 2000s. Sad to see they're retirering soon
I will miss them very much
they sound better than ever!
Love Sum 41 what a Banger!!
Sum 41 ruuulleess!!🖤🔥🧡
That was fun!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😺 Sill love Sum41!
“Their final album” - man been listening to these guys since 2001
Woah, did I wake up in 2002...???
Last album? ill be honest didnt even realise they where still about, havent heard anything since the early 2000s, good to see they are still kicking it
They have 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify, I'd say they've been doing pretty decent. You've missed out on a lot of really good albums my friend
Never too late to go back and give their stuff a listen 😎
@@willistoror find something better to listen to than disposable, banal pop punk...
Thanks ill look into it!@@Urza83
@@Axolotl_Mischiefthey're much more than that. They haven't really been pop punk since like 2007 lol they've made a return to it for this album
That was awesome. I'll be sad to see them go. But thank you for all the memories sum41.
This song is SO good!
Watching a band like this on Jimmy Kimmel...takes me back.
I'm so excited to see them in Charlotte
Sounds like it belongs on Does This Look Infected. What a banger
They've been together since 1996 ... that is incredible. Almost a 30 year career of producing high energy music. Personally I don't think they should officially end, they should just continue to make music when they feel like it and never make anything official... but at the same time I understand, 28 years is a long run.
Can't wait to hear them live on tour!
I’m so happy to see Deryck sober and alive. Band sounds great. His voice sounds great. Awesome song.
I Totally feel Deryck can replace and surpass Chester Bennington.
Sum41 ❤ I will miss them 😢
Sum 41 have been so good for so long
CONE WILL ALWAYS BE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!
Cant fukn wait to see these dudes live again in Jan in Toronto!!
It's sad to see yall retire... your music has helped me deeply. ❤ much love!!!
Amazing 🎉
Hometown Proud! Love you guys!!!! ❤🎉 Congratulations on such an awesome career! Who would've though, just some boys from the Shwa, Ajax, Whitby would've become one of the biggest bands in modern music worldwide. I can picture Momma Sound grinning ear to ear in her Sum41 hoodie beaming with pride all these years later - just as stoked now as she was then 🥲🥰 Home coming party at my place! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ 🇨🇦 🍁 🎶 ♾️ ❤❤❤ safe tour! Enjoy your glory lap! Xoxoxoxoo We love you!!!❤🎉
This album will be such a bittersweet one. Grateful for one final album, but sad that it's gonna be their last. I was in my late teens when they came on the scene, but I feel like I grew up with these guys. I've loved every album, and I was so sad when Deryck nearly died of alcohol poisoning. I thought that was gonna be the end of Sum 41. But thankfully Deryck got better, and stronger, and came back with a bang, and has given us 3 more killer albums. I will miss looking forward to new music from them, but I'm grateful to all the music they have given us, and all the good memories that were made while listening to that music.
IT'S BEEN TWELVE YEARS
It's even better live!🔥
This kind of music need huge comeback! Its good to hear this new stuff 💪🏻
So glad to have seen them perform at When We Were Young this past year!
It feels great to see iconic bands like Sum41 still rockin out 🤘🏻❤️🔥
Some of the coolest and humblest dudes. Schooled me on Steve Albini.
Sum 41 make mote than rock music. Their songs give me motivation, strength and hope!
Can't wait for the show in September!!!! VIP BABY!!!
They're great every time they come through on tour! And they're good to their fans too, nice guys
They were their best in their early years when Steve Jocz was their drummer.
here it, its young fckng go!!!!!
They look incredible! So cool! 🤩
Grew up with you guys, much love from a half Canadian ❤️
It’s crazy how their music in every era is so good. Their consistency is unmatched.
Really great song by them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome.
Great bop
Excellent live vocals. Next level.
Who else is bummed this is the beginning of the end?! Still, amazing performance as always.
I'm bummed they're even still around...
you can hear in the second verse, while he's singing low, that without putting all he has his voice is also not happy and full performing. But give him high register, he will blast.
Last time for us to enjoy sum 41 live, so let's all of us enjoy.
So good!!!! 🤘
Awesome job boys ! ❤
Great performance Hell Yea
Reading some comments; geez I'd never heard of them before this came on the radio just the last couple weeks. I had no idea they've been around so long. The drummer has some nice fills...
They were coat-tail riders of the Blink 182 popularity in the early 200s in the 'flash in the pan' sense. Mostly appealed to teenagers with terrible taste in music.
@@Axolotl_Mischief Look out, there's a lot of commentaters happy to see them back. I assume they miss that "bad taste". 🙂
@@Axolotl_Mischiefyou sound like a depressed gatekeeper virgin for a genre of music that little to nobody heard of or even gives two Fs about... Sum and Blink are S1 and S2 in pop punk bud.
@@Axolotl_Mischief 🤡
@@Axolotl_Mischief *good taste in music. All those bands are amazing. Your opinion is bad.
Looking forward to seeing them in September
