It takes two energy drinks to make design eyewear from a ball of yarn.

I planned this project to be experimental. The result pleases my eye and I think I have found my style. I have been practicing making eye glasses mostly from wood, which is a demanding material. I wanted to try something else, unconventional materials that could produce results which I didn't expect.
The manufacturing process definitely could be improved. But I did this way for the first time and of course I have to learn the hard way. Here the idea is to use any material and only small scale hand tools which most of us can afford.
I edge sanded reading lenses for my personal use, but it is possible to use any sunglass lenses as well.
Please check how I managed to create something new, at least for myself.
I very much would appreciate feedback of the industrial rugged unpolished style. Thanks for reading this.

yk i gotta say this is nicer to watch than most like "crafting" videos ig. because its just showing him making it with hard cuts and some slight zooming.
it´s not like HEY GUYS TODAY WE`RE GONNA MAKE SMTH EPIC its just watch me make the nice glasses out of smth unusual :)) so yh i liked watching it a lot! keep doing what ur doing :))

good question, might be difficult. I just went around to a few optical shops, then an understanding optician agreed to support my hobby by selling lenses. If you would try to make your own frame design, from experience I suggest to start with sun glasses, those ones with wide lenses you cab buy cheap and take lenses from them. I have also have taken lenses from my old worn eyeglasses and designed new frames to those. Last summer I found a flea market where I bought a bunch of old glasses, 50 cent each. Standard reading strength 0 ... +3 I could find a few without scratches. They get sterilized during processing. Anyway this kind hobby doesn't require lot of space or expensive tools, but allows to practice crafting skills and create own designs. good luck in new hobby!
