      Not too much of a stretch considering he was the voice of The Beast in 2006. All they need to do is record a sinister voice... if that's really the case with him. Erie that they don't call Gabriel Woolf unless the DW Producers need a voice for The Devil.

      My headcanon, until further data arrives, is that Roger ap Gwilliam was himself the manifestation of Reprobate, unleashed when the weave was broken by the Doctor's foot. Since we know he's a complicated space-time event, breaking the weave excluded the Doctor from the event, leaving Ruby in an unfixed, but rapidly solidifying timeline where Reprobate, as Roger ap Gwilliam, is free to move. A man so spiteful he wants to launch nukes just for funsies and to establish dominance while Whales is distinctly not under imminent duress. Just like those (fabulous) actors at the pub, Welsh folk have a hilarious and spooky tendency to speak two ways at once to you, especially if you're clearly not that sort of celt. They were joking yes, but not. Despite being Christian and generally anti-("it's a strong word, dear"), that region of modern celtic folks take still the breaking of webs, circles, oaths and symbolic boundaries very seriously. Welsh folk probably did bind Reprobate to that spot, and the faerie circle is now used in the conventional way, to leave prayers and notes of thanks and bits of bread for the fair folk, but its threads themselves are busy binding The Spiteful One, as they know him, whose ability to walk between the gaps and pass through liminal barriers suggests IT probably has no need for a material form and manifests in the spiteful, wicked hearts of its hosts.

    Harriet mentions Toymaker, Trickster, and Reprobate. Reprobate is the God of Spite. Interestingly, in 73 Yards it was mentioned that breaking the fairy circle may have freed “The Spiteful One” who “walks berween the gaps.” Sutekh was in the void, perhaps releasing Reprobate allowed him/her to rescue Sutekh from the Void by stepping between the gap. Trickster probably set up traps within traps so that Sutekh cannot be banished in the same way again.

    Ruby Sundays Biological Mother theory:
    There is a reason to why she isn’t able to shown properly, even though the Doctor had his one and only chance to speak to her, he didn’t and time locked that point, but Rubys Biological Mother decided that: I will ensure the Doctor will get the warning and altered the very memory of Ruby Road on Christmas, she pointed at the main objective the Tardis, but alas the Doctor got the wrong anagram and failed to notice due to him longing to see Susan once more. But how was Ruby’s biological mum able to? She is not part of the pantheon but rather she is a prophet, an oracle, a diviner, who predicts the incoming invasion of the pantheon. Ruby’s biological mum sacrificed her chance to be with her own daughter and when she saw the future of what occurred, she set it all in motion to ensure Sutekh’s defeat. If there is a harbinger, one who heralds the gods incoming, then there is one who divines these disasters and to ensure they never come. Thats why the Maestro panicked, in this episode, the Doctor said time is memory, and the fact she altered it to where Sutekh appeared, as a preview of what shall come, has Maestro panicking, because like their father: the Maestro is afraid of Sutekh: the one who waits. That is why she appeared more clearly in the 2nd time Ruby came to the Time Window, and more 3D instead of the glitchy recording, she will tell Ruby what they must do to stop Sutekh and banished from this world once and for all.

    The doctor saying they got the wrong anagram makes no bloody sense, an anagram is re arranging already existing letters, you can’t just cut the words in half and add new letters, might aswell of called him bob the builder from Susan Triad.

    NGL, that amalgam reveal was kind of cheating. There was no K in Sue Tech. But it does explain a lot from earlier when Susan insists that Mel call her "Sue". As in Sue Tech, NOT Susan Triad Technology, AKA S Triad or TARDIS. Also, it's absolutely heart wrenching when "Susan" sneers "Did you think I was family, Doctor?" We were all hoping she was.

      To be fair, the only "hard" canon source for that was the 4th Doctor, and before _Wild Blue Yonder_ the Doctor never really considered mysticism and magic as anything more than misunderstood science. It's entirely possible that Sutekh and the other Osirans were always divine beings, and the Doctor described them as aliens because they couldn't accept the existence of divinity.

    • @jricks3909
      @jricks3909 Před 2 měsíci +1

      I think I get what you mean. The fourth doctor seemed to imply that Sutekh was some kind of mortal alien being since trapping him in The Time Tunnel was supposed to age him to death but there's also the implication based on the fact that the other Osirans trapped him on Earth because they couldn't simply kill him.
      So the original lore is a bit vague.

      Couldn't agree less. But I suppose that every Doctor gets to be the one who killed the show for someone.
      Tom Baker was "Too stupid for words."
      And David could never play the Doctor. "You can't have a Doctor who looks like a weasel!"
      For me it was Matt Smith before I chilled out.
      I hope you'll go a little easier on Ncuti and give him a real chance in the upcoming finale. I've found him overwhelmingly charming. And if you really just can't get over him, at least you can rest assured there'll be another, and someday another, and then another after that.
