De todas las versiones que hay -y mira que hay- esta es la que más me gusta. No me canso de verlo todas las Navidades desde que lo descubrí. Y todavía he tenido que discutir con quienes dicen que esta mujer va en contra de la fe cristiana y de la Iglesia católica... Supongo que, aunque esté en latín, sabe lo que canta; y si lo canta es porque quiere; y hasta quizás lo sienta y lo crea. Impresionante la interpretación.

Dice Wikipedia que Enya: "Se define a sí misma como devota de la Iglesia Católica Romana". Y siendo ella de Irlanda (país Católico hasta el alma) muy seguramente lo está cantando como es debido. :)
I don’t think it would be a surprise to anyone to understand there are people in the world who react negatively to anything Christian, specifically Catholic, more specifically Roman Catholic. To Christians we understand the life of Christ was THE great and needed gift from God the father, worthy of great, beautiful celebration. Hence Christmas. But to believe THAT, one must be willing to believe a whole lot more about God and Creation. If that cannot be accepted, then at least enjoy the intended soothing beauty of it all.
