Unfortunately, as an estate, which are normally about practicality and usefulness, it can't tow anything. MG5 can at least tow 500kg unbraked. Other than that and the price , it seems like a car I would have considered. I normally keep cars a long time, so the high initial price and depreciation would be less of a factor when spread out of 8-10 years. But not being able to tow anything rules it out completely. I wouldnt conside the MG5 because the boot under cover is not big enough and the rear seats don't fold near flat enough. The new Kona or Niro would fit the bill too, except towing capacity, unbraked and braked, is just too small for my purposes. Very efficient cars too. But other than my personal gripes, the e308 seems like a really nice car.
Would love one but compared to my 308 GT diesel which does 850kms on a tank of diesel 380kms range just doesn't cut it. As a long distance driver (ski instructor in French Alps) 500kms range (ie one recharge stop in a fulll day drive) is minimum..

Lovely car but price will be key again. Astra is priced crazily and 308 will probably be as bad or worse.

Towing is very important for some for sure! Hopefully we get more choices soon. Thanks for the comment
