Btw, if you need to respawn them for whatever reason, go back to Jubilife and come back. they'll be back.
(They also respawn after about 15min being not near the spawn location - get it? Time and Space? lol)
Hi
thx your video guides are always nice and helpful 👍🏻
Can you do a space time distortion video
I managed to get alpha pokes w only 1 and 2 stars AustinJohn
Nice pun lol
I like the lore implication with many of the lord pokemon being that the area near their arena is where their nest is and that you’re catching their descendants.
I think of it as the most powerful one looks over the bunch. Like Kleavor protects the Mantids
I wonder what happens to all the regions the players took the legendaries from. Sinnoh would affect the world most since both gods are missing.
Ah, but that's not the case for Arcanine, which suggests that all Lord Pokemon are descended of a single unbroken line, and have no immortality whatsoever.
@@AusSP well, that was already implicated with the dialogue saying, "Yeah, they descended from the original blessed guy."
@@smashbrosguyt915 when the trainer dies they're free it just to spend they're time while being bored
honestly I didn’t like Stantler that much before but because of Wyrdeer im rocking a Stantler on my team
Same
No because stantler is a GREAT first stage pokémon, just not enough for a standalone
@@KingkyLeor Ashame it fails on the evolution
That was me when Electabuzz first got its evolution to Electivire. Now Electivire is one of my favorite Pokémon. Sinnoh has a knack for that and it transcended the ages.
The only reason I like the pikachu evolution line, is because of pichu
Just a heads up as someone with 55 hours on this game: you can catch higher level alpha pokemon regardless of star level as long as you have the heavy, leaden, or gigaton balls. All you need to do is feed them a berry (Razz if possible), and sneak behind them and throw a heavy ball with a backstrike. I caught Stantler as a 2 star with this method and plenty of other alphas. Helps get strong pokemon early!
Can those strong pokemon obey you though if you only have 2 stars I know with one star it's pokemon up to lvl 20 or was it talking about traded pokemon?
@@silverlinegaming3933 no, your starter can even disobey if overlevelled
@@silverlinegaming3933 they can disobey. But, the benefit is you get a ton of XP since their level is significantly higher and it helps you complete registration for your dex since some ask for alpha & heavy. Also, I’ve found that they don’t disobey too much.
you can also reset battles with them, caught a lvl 44 Alpha Luxio in the Obsidian Fieldlands when I only had one star by battling it and spamming pokeballs
@@threespazzez tell that to my cresselia that disobeyed me 5 times in a row against a certain final boss character
This game is so fun, and I’m glad you’re here to explain a lot of stuff to us
Alpha Wyrdeer scares me, it’s so freaking huge.
Also, I started the game with a shiny Wurmple yesterday :D
hope it turned into a colorful Beautifly and not a slightly different dustox!
@@AustinJohnPlays may your blessings bring good omens, my good sir.
Me to I got 1
I got a shiny hippotas on accident
When I saw the Alpha Wyrdeer I thought to myself, this no deer this is a freaking moose. Absolute tank of unit.
Would like to add if you crouch while hiding behind trees, that counts as cover. Just remember that the trees are thin so if you really want to, you can walk around the tree as the pokemon moves so it cannot see you. Even if your body model is WAY wider than a skinny tree, it still counts. I swear it is like a scene from looney toons
The Gyarados soaring through the air at 4:13 had me dying 😭
Yea I saw that when I played the game it is a water flying type for a reason
One thing to mention about evolving Stantler; you do not gain mastery of the move until level 31 or 32. You also cannot master it in the village with a seed of mastery. Or at least I couldn't at the time.
When I caught the Alpha it automatically had it mastered idk if I got lucky but, that might be always
Thank you. I just started to play legends arceus and I am really enjoying the game so far.
I think it's is amazing that Austin is still going through the comments and interacts with his viewers. Aside from his incredible content it makes him even more likable than he already is.
I went on to get an alpha scyther (and evolve it to kleavor) when it was far above my team’s levels. Barely survived enough to catch it and it won’t even listen to me its so strong. Thank you so much for this video!
I got a alpha scyther in its low 40s when the rest of my team was level 28-34ish and evolved it into a kleavor, it’s so massive and cool lol, I can finally use him in battle now since I just recently got my 4th research star
Man with all your videos your doing on PLA makes me want to play it even more...cant wait for my copy to come...getting super excited. Thank you for taking all this time to put together epic videos for us.
The more I learn about this game, the more I love it. A Pokémon not just needing a certain move, but to also have to use it a certain amount of time in a specific style in order to evolve is just *chef's kiss*
But also smaller things like, not being able to use an item on a Pokémon that's out of the Pokéball.
What Pokémon needs to evolve that way?
@@learningtoadult3450 He just mentioned it in the video. Stantler can evolve after you used a certain move (forgot the name, some psychic bash) in agile style for I think 20 times.
Edit: I'm now far enough into the game to confirm that some Pokémon have these requirements for evolutions, and I love it.
whatever… nothing will beat having to turn the console upside down to evolve inkay into malamar
^ That was pretty cool.
Honestly I was so proud of catching my alpha scyther before kleavor. I was only at 2 or 3 stars so they didn't listen to my instructions all the time, but my gosh was it amazing to have a lvl 40 power house when everything else is lvl 20 or lower. I even managed to sneak up on him by using the trees as cover, then I distracted them with a berry and managed to get them with a heavy ball.
I got alpha Scyther last night. I think I have a good strategy for catching Alpha Pokémon now. I also found a secret area and caught an alpha Heracross. As far as I’ve seen; you can catch high level alphas, you just won’t be able to use them since they won’t obey you if your star rank is too low.
What is the strategy for catching alphas?
@@KP-uz3nk It’s pretty simple. You have to catch them unawares (back strike with your Pokémon when they haven’t seen you). You start with your Pokémon that can weaken it the most. Use your free turn(s) to weaken the alpha. When it KO’s your Pokémon you send in a Pokémon that can use status conditions and use your guaranteed turn to inflict that. Then you use every turn tossing pokeballs until you either catch the alpha, or you’re down to your last Pokémon. At that point; run away or reset if you saved beforehand. This has worked for me a lot against higher leveled alphas but it’s likely to fail if the alphas have a recoil move or if you fail to back-strike them.
I went to do the shiny ponyta quest and before I triggered the cutscene in the fieldlands a random shiny ponyta appeared so I have two blue horses now
Damn
You know what’s weird, but something that I love. That the battles oddly feel like the Colosseum & XD games 🥰
Thank you for making all these videos! Your channel is awesome!
Unfortunately, even though Stantler learns Psyshield Bash at Lv 21, you can't Master that move until Lv 31. So Lv 31 is the earliest you can evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer
Just finished quelling Kleavor and always checking CZcams for your videos on this great game throughout my play through. Thank you so much.
I remember when you were so much smaller as a CZcamsr and you’re so close to two million now but you’re still teaching us how to do things in Pokémon, thanks lol
Thank you so much I’ve been trying to figure them out for like an hour and a half I have the Pokémon but don’t know how to evolve them
Your video content is on fire!!! ❤️🔥🔥 Thank you for all you do!
Advice: for scyther you can crouch and roll behind trees then throw an berry past it to get a back attack
BRO YOU HAVE COME SUCH A LONG WAY BRO, I remember when you where a small channel look at you now ! Congratulations man and thanks for all the updates !
BRO BRO BROOOOOOOOOO
@@holleringsmith3837 lmfao I’m dead 😂
I caught a Gravler at those 2 red rocks right before Snorlax before I did the Kleavor mission. He was shiny and I got a black augrite
I didn't know you could catch alphas with put battling you've made my life so much easier thank you so much
Loving the videos lately Austin keep it up!
Thanks so much for these videos. Definitely been helping a lot, got myself an alpha Scyther yesterday so gonna go for alpha Stantler today.
I've watched your videos since let's go Pikachu and eevee. I had to choose Pikachu as my starter for nostalgic reasons but you always figure this stuff out so fast and I can't thank you enough for the channel. Sorry it took so long to subscribe bro but it's been long overdue! Love the merch too, the Pikachu hoodie looks epic!
Dope! I've been wanting to use Kleavor and haven't gotten that far into the game yet so this is perfect.
Hey Austin! Huge fan of yours! Thanks for all of your helpful guides of BOTW and Pokemon! So helpful! I can't wait to get the Alpha Scyther! He'll be my Scizor!
Only played for about an hour today and yesterday before work and I’m super looking forward to really playing tonight xD
Gyarados flying in the backgroun at 3:40 LMAO
love when a new game comes out because it means more Austin John videos!!!!
Nice! Been wanting to know this for a while
This is a great video thanks Austin
Thank you so much!! I've been trying to get all the Pokémon you beat or ride and ive only got Bassboy and Boid lol
Ahh, I was wondering what I was missing to evolve Wyrdeer. Now I can have a shiny Wyrdeer on my team
I’ve been wanting this video
Just caught a shiny stantler and needed to know how to evolve it. Thanks Austin!!
Thank you for this
This is so helpful🙏🏽
Thanks for the helpful info once again! I just caught the Alpha Scyther with a Great Ball while hiding behind a tree. I haven’t faced Kleavor yet, but accidentally ran into him. :)
It's nice to let your whole team out to chat with, this game doesn't cease to amaze me
Just wanted to note that the cool air explosion that happens signals a back shot as far as I know.
At times I was debating with myself whether to evolve Scyther or not, because he already looks so cool (and that for a first stage). But I’ve decided to keep a second Scyther in that farm place in the village and evolve my main one. Win win
Started playing today!!! So far good! A bit of a learning curve at the beginning
I start every alpha fight with a backstrike. Makes heavy balls more effective and also gives you a couple of free turns. Usually get them on the first ball and take no damage.
Thanks for the guide, been trying to get the evolution item for Kleavor for an hour, graveler just does not want to drop it!! Grr
I love it when Austin randomly bursts into a foreign accent. Just makes the video 10x better
Thank you so much! I have been wanting to get kleavor since it’s debut in the trailer and since I already have an alpha Scyther (at two star rank not to brag) I am so excited to be getting it!
You can catch regardless of star level. I caught an alpha Hippowdon using an heavy ball and chipping away at HP.
4:10 That Gyarados in the background flew away!
1:32
I'm almost finishing the game, already quelled all nobles and JUST NOW I learned that you can see the level of the pokemon when aiming at it.
This man has not slept yet, there's so much videos his been uploading
Hell yes! More PLA content!
Thanks! I'm loving the game so far!
I got my first augorite thingy riding ursaluna, it was the first thing I dug up with it. So that was helpful. Although using it to find items isn’t enjoyable… but I did also find a piece of a poem which was neat
Just a little note about Pokemon sizes: It seems like the Pokedex entry tells you their potential size. If you want to see your specific Pokemon’s actual size it’s in their summary pages. Kleavor only having one specific size listed in its Dex page probably means there’s no variance to it, though. That would mean having an alpha one isn’t making it bigger.
Very kool. Glad I didn’t watch any spoilers.
Can’t wait for the guide on Ursaluna. I have a ursaring but can’t really evolve it
Thanks for the video!! Question where did you get your heavy ball display at?!?!? I’m trying to find one for myself.
I lucked out yesterday and caught the lvl 40 Alpha rapidash with a back strike heavy ball when all my Pokemon were roughly level 20 and I had basically just started. this game is so fun
Love the alpha’s size soooo cool
2:08 I actually caught one as a Rank 1, I ran into it, and since it was too strong to beat, I just tried throwing balls at it, and managed to catch it first try
I ended up using Kleavor on my main team. It was from earlier in my playthrough so I had to level, but the option for a false swipe 'mon was too good to pass up and I almost never use rock types. Pretty happy with the decision.
My Alpha Stantler just evolved into a Wyrdeer. I caught her several weeks ago using a Mushroom Cake & a back strike with a Leaden Ball and she’s been one of my most reliable pokémon throughout my playthrough.
I took my time to evolve her since I didn’t want to rush it & needless to say it was worth the wait. Thanks so much for the videos Austin since they were such a big help with this 🙏 😊
Must you defeat palkia before getting alpha ride pokemon?
Hey man! Been loving your content for this game - can you do a video on getting items? I can’t seem to find the springy mushroom and I’m trying to knock out these early quests early. Thanks for everything! Your content spits hot fire!
look at the tree *behind* Kleavor's arena
and fallen logs.
You can also get the black Augurite digging from treasure while riding Ursaluna. I can't remember where I got, I was just riding around everywhere but it was somewhere in the first 2 areas.
Woot. Thanks and also I understand the arceus naming cuz for the longest time i always thought it was pronounced ar-see-us when its actually arc-eus. Its tough.
Just a small tip but when you are in a battle you don't have to go to your bag to access a pokeball. Just hit x to switch to them in your hot bar and hit ZR. Great videos man, keep up the awesome work! 👍
Thank you so much for grabbler tips cause I can’t dig the tool anywhere
You can catch alphas if you engage them in battle regardless of how many stars you have. I’m 3* and I caught a lvl 51 alpha yesterday
🎼 The best part of waking up, is new Austin vids in your notifications
This game is so good lol, I love your content!
Something worth noting is that you actually can catch it if you use something like hypnosis or thunderwave
I found the black Augurite at the Obsidian Fieldlands by the Horseshoe Plains. I was riding Ursaluna and he took me to it.
I caught a shiny Level 45 Snorlax at 2* or 3* rank so I'm not sure star rank matters. It took half an hour but in the end it worked.
I was hunting for monferno/chimchar whlie watching this video and caught the alpha stantler right before you mentioned him.
You can throw balls (and swap pokemon) without going into the menu - pressing ZR will throw whatever's selected in the bottom right, just like outside of battles!
Idk if someone already told you that, and I know this video is kinda old already, but those tasks asking "use a move X times" are mostly easy to finish in one go, without the need to constantly go back to the camp to rest, because of how PP work on this game. As we can change the moves the pkm knows on the go, PP is now related to the slot of the move and, borrowed going back to camp or refreshing its PP, you are going to have the minimum PP value between the amount of PP of a slot, and the max PP of the moves you are removing/adding. This means you can, lets say, teach Stantler 4 moves with at least 10 PP each (one of them being Psyshield Bash), then use all PP only from that move, and going into the menu to exchange Psyshield Bash with any other move, making this new move the one owning the current zero PP'd slot. After confirming that, you can go back to the menu, teach Stantler Psyshield Bash back, this time putting it over one of the other slots you know have at least 10 PP and, boom: you have yourself a virtually 40 PP move out of a 10 PP one ;)
Thank you so much
never would i think to see a flying gyrados but at 4:14 it happent truly a sight to behold to see it flying in the back ground amazing
ooh ooh that stantler area is where I caught a chimchar! he has a low spawn rate I imagine because I only ever saw one though.
Austin and everyone else your catching battle the long way
Do the following
1. Join battle
2. Attack if you want
3. Press x while in the battle it will swap your pokemon to your ball screen
This saves pressing i think down for items and moveing to the item you want to use
You can battle and catch any alpha pokemon at almost any point you can manage to stand up to them in battle as long as you get a little lucky. I managed to whittle down the alpha snorlax in the first area and catch it with a great ball in combat (it didnt know rest for me). I only had 2 stars at the time.
I also managed to catch the lv 61 alpha vespiquen in the 2nd area with only 3 stars. It knew recover but after a few attempts i got a lucky throw when it was low health.
About Keavor’s axe hands being thin, it looks like the hands/axes are supposed to be pressed together to make the axe whole.
I hope there's a guide to find an Alpha Growlithe because I'm so tired . Just keep going!
I caught the alpha stantler with one star early game. It won’t listen to you but great tank while you throw pokeballs.
My rank was high enough and I just snuck up on the alpha scyther and through a ball lol. Then I just used to to kill out breaks of parasect to level up other teams members quicker. Also I found a full odds shiny paras early on too!
Hey love your videos but one thing.. You can find gravelers in the mud area, next to Hippopotas
Hi hi. Thank you for all your pokemon contents it really informative and helpful!!!! May you make a video telling us where all the Sinnoh Starters are? 🙇🏾♀️
There is also an alpha and a few gravelers by the cave where you can catch machop
I found a shiny stantler, thanks for the guide
Stantler also appears in Coronet Highlands later in the game
I don't know if you do it different in other battles, but you can also throw the pokeball with X and RZ in battles
Like watching your vids this morning there was a outbreak and got 2 shiny stantler
I think fighting Kleavor is not a requirement for the item. I had gotten one before and I remember thinking about it like 'hey I can get Kleavor before Kleavor'.
Just got my first kleavor from watching your video thanks so much
