- What If Vince McMahon RETIRES From WWE Today in 2019?
In 1982, when Vince McMahon took over the WWF from his father, he forever changed the wrestling industry. Originally, all the wrestling organizations were under a territory system, which meant that companies at the time would only have shows in their regions. There was no competition for local television. After Vince McMahon bought the WWF from his father, his master plan was to make his company the premiere wrestling company in the world.
He wanted his show to be viewed from everyone and in doing so, this would also eliminate all of the competition and allow him to sign all of the wrestlers from the other territories. Vince would go on to sign a deal with the USA Network, which would put the WWF on national television. This was the key to becoming the flagship show because everyone had an opportunity to watch the show from around the country. Vince McMahon destroyed all of his competition taking 30-40 companies out of business.
He was the only one to adapt and change with the future. Throughout the 90’s, McMahon only had one competitor and that was, of course, WCW and Ted Turner. McMahon’s brilliant storylines helped build huge stars in the attitude era and they created must watch television at the time. Eventually, Vince would then buy out WCW. Finally, he has been on top of the mountain for the last twenty years with no real competition in sight. AEW is attempting to change the wrestling business, but it’s going to be a difficult task to take down the empire Vince McMahon has created.
However, viewership of RAW and SmackDown are increasingly dropping. Both shows are generating around 2.2 million viewers. Many people are even blaming Vince McMahon claiming that he is destroying his company without even realizing it. People are questioning his booking decision. The Hell in a Cell match between The Fiend and Seth Rollins is a perfect example.
Fans around the world think it’s time for him to hang up the boots before he completely burns his company to the ground. In today’s video, we are going to look at an alternate timeline where Vince McMahon retires today. We will look at how this would affect WWE and other wrestling promotions for the next FOUR years. Let’s see what would happen if Mr McMahon is no longer in charge.

Blame Vince for it. They know how to write good stories. The problem is that since Vince has too much control and and seems to hate good stuff apparently, he forces the writers to rewrite episodes last minute. Making it perfect in his vision, but its not the future. Only if he let Triple h and Stephanie take over they can save themselves from going out of business.

I think your projections are way over your head. Casuals are not drawn in by wrestling. Half of the people that watch the attitude era didn't even care about wrestling unless it included ladders, chairs, steel cages, hell in a cell, or blood. They did not care about the moves and that will not draw people in all by itself they cared about the storylines and the mic skills that people had. Triple h has a lot of bridges that he needs to fix before wrestling will ever draw in a casual fan. Such as myself I haven't seen a single match of raw or smackdown since 2008. Hell I don't even know what the heck NXT is like where did ECW go? If the viewer doesn't have any relation or relatability with that character it will all be for nothing. I would like to think that the whole world would be behind WWE but it's going to take a lot more than just moves to draw in guys like me.
