i know this is incredibly old but that's an incredibly backhanded comment imo. she has to support herself financially (ie. car insurance, phone bill, and toiletries) and earns enough that she has enough disposable income to buy clothes and books, and your (i'm assuming here) lack of financial responsibilities or disposable income don't make you better than her. (I know you're not saying that verbatim, but your comment gives off those vibes).

Best thing I did after high school was live at home and go to community college near by. Saved a bunch of money and paid my first semester with my DQ paycheck. Uou do not have to go off to a big fancy expensive college right away
