Honestly, nothing hits this hard anymore. The drum parts are way better back then and more memorable. Nowadays all drumlines care about is their dance moves
In the line/video we have Bluecoats Perc Cap Head, drum corps Podcaster, former head of RCC drumline, Rudiments CZcamsr, former SCV/Cavies Cap Head/Arranger, I’m sure others who went to tech other lines.
I love those short shelled Yamaha tenors! They are probably light and easy to carry. Anyone out there let me know if there's anyone selling a set. Preferably a 6, 8, 10, 12, 13,14.
I have some rough footage here: czcams.com/video/_mnvn8DPd3o/video.html They stayed at my high school my freshman year and it was mind blowing. That 95 scouts show was incredible (I discover BD a year later ha)
A set of 13" snare drums that they used from the beginning up until the ballad. It was a new product Yamaha came out with that year. Both BD and Cavies used them. It was easier to tell when Cavies switched because their 14" were red and the 13" were black/white.
Say, I was just reviewing BD alumni on their website and knew I recognized your name. A hero comments among us. Do you recall a soprano from ‘95 by the name of Marty Bassett?

Your ass must be jealous of the shit that comes out of your mouth

This is insane. m.czcams.com/video/c8ihOrmecoI/video.html
The book that year was insane!
Nice seeing a 5 man BD quad line!

Micah Brusse is one of the more under-recognized musicians and instructors in drum corps; he'd have no problem running a top-level program.
I agree 100%. He's a great person and musician. Very humble as well.
I’m grateful to say that I had the privilege of being a student of his in 2010. Best instructor I ever had.
Vouch
Clean even that reverb off the concrete 🔥

where is he at?
Jim Casella at 4:32. Before he became head of percussion at SCV.
yup the one year Jim and Scott were on the same staff
@@timslee0618 also crazy how roger carter is the center for this line too
Sean Vega was in the tenor line as well
Never appreciated long steady camera shots more in my life.
That famous Caribe solo 🔥
I always wanted to see more roger carter in bd. 😎
The Fact That’s It’s Nine
Scojo literally waving hands for zero reason.
This was at their most aggressive. Absolutely terrifying talent!
no way.... their most aggressive was 1982-1990 Tom Float produced the scariest bad a z z lines ever...
Snare one in from the left broke in Ditty and again at 5:34. Never saw a BD break. He's only human.
Was this his only year? And when was he cut?
@@FLX_AUquads 93-94... cut in 96 😢
@@genXtrah That's really sad. I'm pretty much an outsider to drum corps (I don't live in the US). Does this kind of thing happen to vets often?
@@FLX_AUdropping a kid his age out year is pretty much unheard of, especially when having nothing to do with ability...
Wish they would've kept the egg beaters in the brushes section
I love the way Remo Falams sound.
Such a cool show.
So clean!!!
TENGO: @4:31 MY FAV INTRO TO TENOR SOLO OF ALL TIME:... @4:47 the beast is released
1:10 - "Dick '95!" Fun little ram there.

Uhm. I'm sorry, but is there a cleaner line? That was a great year!

Yo what are those things on the ground in front of the snareline?

😬
but still a killer book and many peeps appreciate this season.
Hi George!!!
Every greatest tenor solo the camera misses. Like, this one, rock opera Tommy and scv Carmen, oh well
