I respect and admire the fact that Chavez conducted this Face Off in English but I wish he would have just done it in Spanish. It was obvious he was unable to fully communicate his thoughts and articulate them fully because of the language barrier. The Spanish interviews he has done regarding this fight and Canelo have been explosive.

it seems like I'm one of the few that think loosing weight is an advantage ? .... you may gain a bit more speed and be a bit more agile.... now... also: gaining weight is a disadvantage because you may become a bit slower...
then also at the same time both gaining or loosing weight may have negative and or positive results....
it all depends on how well they train to adapt to their new weight (whatever the case is of either gaining or loosing).... and finally.... canelo is shorter and has shorter arms compared to Chavez Jr. .... we all should know that it means more reach for punches... on the other hand, Canelo is heavier so we all know that means more power in punches but it's possible he may be a bit slower since he gained some weight in order to be allowed in the ring.... TO CONCLUDE : IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW THE FIGHTER ADAPTS TO THE NEW WEIGHT SINCE BOTH LOOSING AND GAINING WEIGHT HAS IT'S ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES AS WELL.

Maria Sanchez Yeah Canelo is shorter but Chavez Jr. doesn't fight the way a guy his size should fight. He likes to fight on the inside instead of using his hight and reach to his advantage and fight on the outside.
