  • 100 years of the Manx Grand Prix were celebrated earlier this year, with the centennial event playing host to a very special 'Made at the Manx' parade.
An assault on all of the senses, the parade celebrated some of the greatest motorcycle racers in history, all of whom started their careers at the Manx Grand Prix.
Freddie Frith made his first MGP appearance in 1930 and went on to win his first TT on the first attempt in 1936. One of the few riders to win TT races both pre and post-war, he also went on to win the inaugural 350cc World Championship.
Frith was represented by TT and MGP winner Nick Jefferies onboard a 350 Velocette, the manufacturer that Frith enjoyed much of his success with.
This is the first in our 5-part series from the 'Made at the Manx' parade, stay tuned for more!

I remember Nick’s 1993 Formula One victory very fondly, I was super pleased for him.
