Let me first say that criticism does not equal hate.
Ian and his wife created a fake narrative and made an entire video defending it and I’m glad you pointed it out. Nobody is hating Ian and his wife over the nonsense they listed in that video. This is what’s called a strawman tactic.
For Brendan Schaub to say that knocking out Vicente Luque will somehow shut everybody up as absurd. The criticism people have with Ian Gary is totally separate from his fighting capability.
Ian and his wife come across as extremely narcissistic to me. I do not like the way treat other people, threaten other people with legal action, and try to silence discussion and free speech.
If they hate him because of his decision to make t-shirts with Geoff Neal's mug shot, or pretending as if Neil Magny is a child abuser I understand. Here are the reasons why I support Brendan’s position:
1. UFC is watched by billions of people and therefore they MUST have their own “UFC version of Megan&Harry” on a pedestal.
2. Brendan Schaub (B.S.) does not owe anyone to be intellectually honest and not lazy. He is entitled to his own B.S. opinions, fluctuating in unison with his B.S. intellectual honesty, which is usually proportional to SoCal levels of yearly rainfall.
3. Establishment of UFCs own Megan&Harry duo is absolutely essential to revolutionize the company and address issues like fighter pay and trans rights in women’s division. They would excite politicians on the left via social media campaigns and acquire donor interest. They are a noble attempt to discharge the greedy businessman Dana White and install someone who understands multifaceted oppression, who would take control of all financial and strategic decisions by making them more equitable. Or perhaps they would ensure all fighters sit on the directors board of UFC.
They are a force for good. They deserve to be revered and supported Even if he had no moral compass or she was a sociopath. Even if the above was true, one could argue it is a good thing that would help with takeover of UFC and steering it into a more equitable future.
Don’t we all crave European socialistic elitism and chauvinism in the UFC? Isn’t that what was missing all along?
