Uh... isn't that what we're watching?

I mean, yeah, he should, but in order for his ideas to come, he needs time. A lot of time, meaning that the shows would have less quality. I'd say quality over quantity
The next Dr. Phil? But better?

That segment about a virus hit differently. It genuinely made me question whether or not this was actually fiction or not.
It's starting in 2030 and features tech and stuff that isnt even real lol
@@Corrupted I mean... we already have vr..
@OrBar0716 Ow, I think I just cut myself on all that edge.
@@Corrupted Well we already have VR and the ability to mistake the virtual world for the real world to some degree even tho we know it's fake. I've seen a few segments in videos where people would briefly mistake an in-game object for a real one. There was one in particular of PeanutButterGamer where he playing a cooking VR game and he tried using a countertop in the game to prop himself up only to fall over cause it wasn't actually there lol
While not bad right now, that kind of stuff has already started. We don't have a Sword Art Online style helmet and more technologically advanced aspects of these VR worlds, but perhaps we don't need it. Maybe enough isolation and dependence on things like VR to use for escapism will lead to something similar sooner than is listed in the video. I mean people genuinely believe in Matrix/simulation theory and people have fallen for stuff like Heaven's Gate so I wouldn't put it past anyone if this were already starting in a corner of VRChat or something as we speak
Disrupt must be connected to the illuminati and the rothchilds
Not me thinking this a real event, I didn’t notice the years the first time, and when he mentioned the pandemic it made me go, “oh it happened this year! I can’t believe so many people commuted suicide!”

“Hey how do Japanese people talk?”
“Just pronounce o at the end of every word.”
It's a bit more complicated than that.
See Japanese uses a syllabary instead of an alphabet. I.e. every symbol is a combination of a consonant and a vowel sound, so when you try to make English words with Japanese pronunciation there ends up being a bunch of extra vowels mixed in. Take "McDonald" for instance. That turns into マクドナルド "MakuDonaludo". It's especially prominent in text-to-speech programs, like he's using in this video.

What an insult to Disrupt
Gygabiite i was thinking about that.
Gygabiite The whole game idea is just dumbed down ID
Or Serial Experiments Lain.
Response to the question: Theres an anime ongoing called Infinity Dendogram, and the show is this VRMMORPG with infinite possibilities and really smart NPCs, basically like actual human people. That made me think something: If it were to happen in real life, there would be some people who would fall in love and possibly marry NPCs. There are some who marry cars and trains and ghost pirates, so there would be a lot of men and women marrying their virtual waifu/husbando.
Infinite dendogram is a Doo Doo anime. Worst anime this season. Sorry to hate.

It the year 2030
Terrain you have to buy an HMD to play Beat Saber or Boneworks. HMD is an acronym for Head Mounted Device.
Drake` Turcotte i meant a HMD exclusive to the game, one that’s not just a normal VR headset, i guess what i meant was aNOTHER HMD, as in if i had a valve index i could not play the game without buying ANOTHER HMD

This video was released in February 2020, only very shortly after the outbreak of Covid-19.
Considering the length and complexity of the video, it’s sensible to assume that production began in 2019 before Covid-19 became public.

The answer to the question has already happened: AI will learn and embrace casual racism.
the AICs are probably now running around saying shit like "kOjY DiD nOtHiNg WrOnG" in more populated areas of the game.
"What would happen if NPCs in a multiplayer game became indistinguishable from real-world players?"
If said multiplayer game is in some kind of futuristic "full-dive VR," then It is my belief that this would lead to a moral dilemma in and out of the game. Since there are generally players who would kill NPCs or Players - whether it be for fun or for loot, and without consideration for whether it's realistic or not, it all comes down to whether or not we "should" since it could be argued that such a thing may condition players to become a reflection of their game self. If they're okay killing NPCs that are "indistinguishable" from the real thing, who's to say they wouldn't be okay with killing the real thing?
Of course, that's an argument for when we get there, in the end.
The first VR religion

Honestly the editing is my favorite thing; I wish I could make my videos look as pretty as yours!
I love how she's giving a speech and there's just a meru avatar vibing in the back
bro these are so well made..I'm loving this series
"What would happen if NPCs in a multiplayer game became indistinguishable from real-world players ?"
First of all having real world people would need some computer processing, as the brain is one complex organ. Having real-NPCs in a vitual world would totally make the point pf a game really strange, if players would play, some NPCs would just live there, going through life while the player plays ? Or maybe some would want to play ? And then learn that they don't exist ? This seems like torture of a human if we consider that the simulation of an human being is human. The world could have different ideas about it, an half treating them as human and wanting to give an enjoyable life for them and the other half treating them as machines for them to play with. This brings a lot of philosophical questions onto simulation technology
you are over thinking these things
Omg this shit is crazy when she said "it can be explained", she was looking into my soul, it felt uncomfortable
"What would happen if NPCs in a multiplayer game became indistinguishable from real-world players?"
I think at first people would be very weirded out or wouldn't really care to be violent to them but as we would progress them people would have feelings for them or become friends which could be beneficial or very disturbing because people that log on to VR to make friends would love these NPCs because they would probably be very nice to people but once you realize that the friends (NPCs) you have made in the game will never be able to meet you in real life or even go to the real world it would be very depressing for some people because think about it you become very close to a friend and then realize their not a real person you would get pretty sad that you've been basically talking to a bunch of codes.
This feels like the plot to an episode of Stand Alone Complex. Great work
This is so beautiful man, nice job at the video.
"We are one, we and they" sounds very similar to the one cult in The Gamer (a webtoon)

1:26 nah, that music makes me ready to go kill some zombies. It sounds like damned
legonerf100 Josh holy crap
Yes.
I thought the same thing lol
After learning what the families of the victims had to say about Kojy, I think it's pretty neat that you put this together.
But, how did you find a source on the subject? There's been a fair amount of work put in to wrapping this one up...you have it, don't you?
"What would happen if NPCs in a multiplayer game became indistinguishable from real world players?"
As we have entered the era of technology we can already tell that this is only the beginning. Only 10 years ago we couldn't even dream of doing of what we are capable of doing today and the rise in knowledge is exponential due to the increased access to various technologies. So what this question states is quite possible in a future not so far away from now.
To understand how NPCs work we need to understand how programming works. To put it simply, programs are made so you can give an order to the machine you are using as it cannot understand our language so we are talking to it in its language. The day when we invent a self coding program is the day when NPCs and AI in general will be able to "think" by themselves.
I think when the day that this happens will be like when the American continent was discovered for the old continent meaning that we went beyond and learned of something that we didn't know that we didn't know. Many beliefs will be shook as it we would basically create a new life form and I hope I'm alive to see that day.
Sounds like a good idea for a new far cry game, and you can switch back and forth between reality and the virtual world
This is very eerie now that we actually have a worldwide pandemic
"What would happen if NPCs in a multiplayer game became indistinguishable from real-world players?"
I feel that if NPC players in an online multiplayer game were indistinguishable from real-world players we probably would pass laws that we had never even thought of before. If they are exactly the same as humans, then they act that way too. Meaning, some people could fall in love with them or get connections to them. If the game were to crash the real-world player would be at a risk of committing suicide. Not to mention the fact that since they would be the same they would be able to most likely influence others just as well or better than humans. In the end I honestly wouldn't like it at all.
Also another thought, if NPC's were indistinguishable from real-world players and the game was in full-dive VR, if the NPCs were to get violated it would be the same as violating a real person wouldn't it?
Oh okay, thanks.
