  • Welcome to my Trumpeter 1/200 RMS Titanic Radio Control Conversion Build.
I haven't built a model for over 20 Years and the Trumpeter Titanic is very detailed but I fancied giving this a go and recording it in the hope that others might find my videos helpful rather than a How-To.
In this episode I install the radio control equipment as well as finishing bits on the hull like installing the rudder some painting and spraying a clear coat of varnish
Thanks again to the Model Boat Guy / @themodelboatguy

The UV resin is fantastic Johnny. I love the sheen from when light hits the portholes. Mine will be display only but I'll definitely follow your lead on that.
Special shout out to the wing prop plating. Insane once painted. Amazing job

That wing plating took me like three evening so thanks for noticing the effort that went into them! The UV resin is mainly for keeping it watertight, but yes it does create that old glass look where it’s not perfectly clear, countersinking really helps to spread the resin out aswell.

Hi Yer! Great job and impressive electronics. I am still working on my hull conversion (RMS Olympic). The brass hull shell plating worked a treat that I made up. I may go with the UV Resin option for glazing too. I used brass for replacement bilge keels which work really well. I may actually get to doing some painting soon! Anyway good to see that you are moving things along! Regards JH⚓😉

Cheers Johnny! Pleased to hear the plating worked out fine. The UV resin is really easy to do and from testing so far works well in regards to keeping the hull watertight. I’m actually finishing the poop deck at the moment and the superstructure sides are nearly done so it should come together quickly over the next month or two. I’ll try and get the other videos up soon but finding the time lately has been a nightmare, keep up the good work mate 👍🏻
