I don't anchor in deep water so i like to keep it simple with a screw in dog leash anchor and about 50' of mule tape (very strong flat nylon line used to pull undergound cable or fiber thru conduit) that will fit in the palm of your hand or pocket. It's great line for many uses and it doesn't hold water, dries quickly, easy to undo knots, very pliable, doesn't rot and available in different strengths/lengths. I use one of the lightest duty and think it's 2000 lb rated. It's left in water filled conduit for years and still maintains it's strength. I live close to a popular island hang out that has a main channel running close and large waves from passing ships. I've seen boats and skiis piled together after these waves pulled the anchors and my cheapie dog leash set up i've used for over 30 years has never let go. It's bent the anchor but still held. The trick is using enough line so it pulls sideways not up on the anchor when the waves pass. I like that the set up in a bag is very small and light so it's not banging around under the hatch. I've seen nicer powder coated screw in anchors if someone wants one a little nicer than the $3 cheapies i use.
@The Owens Sailing Diary thank you for your prompt reply. Could you advise me of a more appropriate knot you would recommend for the anchoring system please? Thank you
I stopped watching, gave it a thumbs down and blocked from ever seeing your videos again because you think you are the only people in the world that use metric measurements. Great information. Thanks!
Your welcome, glad to help.
Ride in Pennsylvania US at local lake. All rocks, very tough to anchor very long. Love my Yamaha.
Thanks ! Cool video I love your Blue Jetskis. When you say “yemi” or “yami” is that slang for a Yamaha?
I like the attention to details, the small things you don't think of, like the chain sock, i am on my 5th video of yours
Hey JJ, I am stoked I have been helpful to you. Thanks for the feedback
Thanks for the video. I noticed your speargun and fin setup. Any chance you can do a video specifically about your spear fishing setup?
Hey not a bad idea, we will do one in the next couple months, stay tuned!
Looking forward to it!
Where’d you get that life jacket?

Good video bro. What part on the goldie ?
Thanks mate and wavebreak
@jet tech what speaker is that??
Any way to get a hold of your items in Sweden? The shipping cost is more than the actual product. Best wishes!
What kind of speaker is that? Thanks
Hey mate its a fusion portable marine speaker
brilliant
Your welcome Andrew, happy to help.
Shouldn't be using bowlines anywhere on an anchoring system
Why do you not advise bowlines? Curious the know, thanks
@@bonitahaumaha7953 because they can come undone (work loose). Not for anchoring.

@@bonitahaumaha7953 an anchor bend or anchor hitch is the go.
@@theowenssailingdiary5239 thank you. They are aptly named as well 🙂
Why are you talking about tide when this video is IN SHORE?
If you are in salt water you still have large tides inshore.
