That was a big theme in UBW, that fight/debate with Emiya vs Emiya while she thinks on it all while watching was important...for her. Archer told her stay cause he was preaching to her as well and he directly spoke to her at least once as well. I loved that underlying theme and how that fight helped her with that big flaw of hers.
I wish there was an adaptation of this, like an alternate universe like Fate/Apocrypha. Nasu still has the original plot outline for Protoype, so the animation studio working on this would actually have a transcript to work from.

I find it funny because I got interested in Fate due to the concept of a female King Arthur. It captured my interest. In the end though I ended up liking Prototype Saber more anyway. I am far more interested in Fate/Prototype in general. A lot of the designs were really cool as well. I love Gil's prototype design.

I know I'm late to this but I just hopped onto the whole "Fate/Prototype" band wagon recently. One of the main reasons why I hope we do get future content with Fate/Prototype is mainly due to Perseus being the Rider of this version. Perseus is one of my all-time favorite Mythical Heroes, especially in the full Context of Greek Mythology, and just something about him having 5 Noble Phantasms seems really cool and like we missed out on a lot.
They should start making production of this story to its end; I want to see how the Fate series started off as. To me, once you start something like this story then you gotta go all the way; it brings more depth to the Nasuverse.
Tbh i like proto-Arthur more, but i think that's purely because of how different he is from the actual Artoria, representing everything she tried to be without growing an ego or god complex like Lartoria. Now of all times would be perfect for a Fate/prototype anime with Proto-merlin's popularity at its peak before NA can get their hands on her.

Arthur is more logical than Artoria. He has a better vision and he is less sorrowful. Although he can never become a hero of justice and save the world he stills believes in it and wants to save the world in order to make up for his mistakes. He is truly an awesome character that has the potential to be even more determined and ideological than Shirou.
Arthur Pendragon. That is honestly why I do not care for Arturia. She is a little emotionally driven and was only driven by the chance of changing her past so it never happened.

While Fate/Prototype definitely seems interesting, I’m having a hard time believing that it would’ve been better than what we got. Hell, I don’t even know if it would’ve been good. Sure, the concepts sound cool but that’s all they are. Just concepts. Nasu never fully completed Prototype and what we have is just the plot concept. It’s hard to say whether or not it would’ve been any good based on just the trailer. Would I like to see it completed one day? Hell yeah! Well more along the lines of how many. We currently know of both Shirou and Kirisugu from fate and Grand order... but what about Devil Archer? Or some of the unknows or possible Counter Guardians In the Type-Moon UV.
