What a superb piece of film with a stunning selection of locomotives. The LT&SR tank is beautiful!

Philip Hearn Quite something isnt it a bit of competition for your yellow loco LOL! 😄 Interesting thing is there were six track owners there all from within a twenty mile radius of Norwich.

norfolk rover l’m not so sure. Both the M&GNJR “C” class (Samual Johnson) and the LT&SR tanks (Thomas Whitelegg) had common ancestry in that both fell under the auspices of the Midland Railway and most of both classes (by no means all) were built by among others, Sharp Stewart and Co. It was a good try I know, but actually I am sure 😉 I recently found some some images (original post cards, but artificially coloured) depicting the Whitelegg Tilbury Tank in her original lavender livery. I was stunned by what I saw, and then came the version depicted in this film of yours. Maybe one day you will see both locomotives side by side. To decide which has the aesthetic upper-hand is however not the easiest of tasks.

David Howarth Cheers Dave. Ive knocked the arty stuff on the head now especially as the last Houghton Hall exhibition was the Damien Hirst “cow in aspic” stuff

Great video, nice track and some very special locos, I loved the Tilbury tank in this unusual livery, splendid model and good running speed.

Thank you it was a good day. Chris has his garden looking really good now and the lavender livery attracted a lot of interest. The track ran well which also helps.
