I didn’t even realize anything was different except for the strap looks cheaper until you pointed out the logo and side plates lol... I’m with you on the side plates I don’t mind them and it lets you customize your belt without having to make a whole new one every time so I get it. But you don’t need side plates and a name plate the “name” is the customized side plates. This is becoming a scary trend for AEW the last year or so to change something but make it look worse/cheaper rather than better.

It's kind of funny seeing the redundancy of the previous belt's continent motif (8 》6) being replaced with another redundancy of the company logo (5 》7). Personally I don't really mind it, since now overall plate designs are here to stay. I believe the newer black square logo does three things: 1) relating it to the rest of the roster's titles, 2) focus better clarity on the company logo and 3) work better with the black leather strap.

Not much a big difference. It's only the AEW logo and the side plates are different. Looks great.
