New 2024 Renault Rafale Compact Coupe SUV

Renault, the French automotive company, has recently unveiled its new coupe-SUV, the Rafale, targeted at international markets. Positioned as Renault's flagship SUV in the D-SUV segment, the Rafale shares its underpinnings with the Espace and Austral, utilizing Renault's CMF-CD platform.
the Rafale shares similarities with the Austral but boasts a longer body by 200mm, a lower height by 10mm, and wider tracks by 40mm.
It measures 4,710mm in length, 1,860mm in width, and 1,610mm in height. Furthermore, it has a long wheelbase of 2,740mm.
The highlight of the Renault Rafale’s design is its grille which features diamond patterns with the inner portion finished in blue, giving it a 3D-effect as you walk around the car. Renault’s new logo takes pride of place at the centre of the new grille. The headlamps are styled like most modern Renault’s sold in Europe.
When viewed from the side, the Renault Rafale’s coupe-espue design reminds one of the Lamborghini Urus sports SUV. The Rafale features body cladding all around, giving it a very rugged appeal. The rear of the Renault Rafale 2024 features slim LED tailights that end in a Y-shape towards the outer edges.
Inside, the 2024 Renault Rafale coupe-SUV gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, along with a 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 9.3-inch head-up display. In addition, the SUV also offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems technology. In the flagship Esprit Alpine trim of the SUV, seats are upholstered in Alcantara with tri-colour stitching and have illuminated Alpine emblems on the seatbacks.
Despite sporting a coupe-like roofline, the headroom in the back is not compromised. However, the Rafale does miss out on the third row, as the French carmaker plans to sell the new SUV only with 5 seats. In terms of storage capacity, the Rafale has a roomy boot with 647 litres.
the Rafale will be available with two hybrid powertrains. The first one is a 197bhp E-Tech powertrain, combining a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine with two electric motors. It offers impressive fuel economy, targeting 60mpg and emitting 105g/km of CO2. The second option is a plug-in hybrid with 296bhp, featuring the same hybrid system and an additional electric motor for all-wheel-drive capabilities and an extended electric range.
The vehicle also features Renault’s third-generation 4Control Advance four-wheel-steering system, which reduces the turning circle and enhances high-speed stability.
The 2024 Rafale coupe-SUV will be manufactured at the Palencia plant in Spain. It will go on sale in Europe and other select markets in spring 2024
