Danny boy had the same opportunities as everyone else on the label to make things happen, he comes off bitter and entitled crying about shit that happened 30 years ago.

Absolutely. He still lived a life most of us could only imagine. Be thankful and enjoy the memories.
The crazy part is he admits that sufe took care of him. And he paid his bills and gave a lotta extra money. So he took care of him. Nobody is perfect and leasing cars is the way for people to move that have a lotta money coming in. If your financing then you keep it. But you deal with issues later when it gets old unless it trade it in. Either way you paying. They got to drive nice stuff and not worry about it. Which most people can not do.

In the 90s the R&B artists were just as talented as the rappers. I really think a Danny boy death row album could have topped the charts. That man is talented and with the star power, the death row had, and all the features you could put on there that album would’ve went straight to the top and would’ve shot Danny boy into superstar status

DJ Quik said it, they were terrible with business over at Death Row, he had to sue to get his money for the work he did at Death Row, Daz too, Kurupt too, Rage was there before Danny Boy, where's her album? 😏 She said it, 2pac got mad because she refused to ride on Lil Kim for him, her career faltered after that.

Danny boy had a head start unlike a lot of rappers and singers normally don't get in that business... There's been hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of musicians who started off at the bottom and successfully made it to the top... Danny boy has songs with some of the top musicians in the 1990s and didn't capitalize off of it... He ruined relationships with Mary j Blige and jodeci and probably through that nobody wants to work with him

Had Suge dropped a Danny Boy album at the time Come When I Call was out, as well as dropped Lady of Rage's album around the time Afro Puffs was out, both of those would have made mad loot, and gave them bigger star power, which would have resulted in longer staying power for both and Death Row. I think of all the artists,Suge looked out for Danny the most.He was young and needed guidance.His feelings about Suge and what happened are still valid.He messed up himself big time writing that book and doing interviews talking about salacious things.

He dropped the 1st single around 97. But the album was shelved
I remember seeing Danny boy single in the stores. It didn't move tho! It seems as it would have got it 1st press run and death row changed their mind on it. I never heard that song on the radio or saw the video on bet or mtv. Maybe it was on the box?
It Reggie the single it's over now was definitely released. That's the one I would see. I never saw a commercial copy of slip and slide though.
I bought the Slip-n-Slide cassette single back then in '96 or early '97. Still got it somewhere in my storage. Produced by Devante with background vocals by a then unknown Ginuwine. Remix produced by Daz, which featured verses by Tha Dogg Pound. The song flopped. The video's out there featuring most the Death Row artists in cameos like 2Pac, Snoop, Nate Dogg etc.

Reggie insinuated that Suge may have had "relationships" with underaged artists/groupies etc. Go back and check that recent EP. Reggie and Suge have a love-hate relationship, so every once in awhile, Reggie will "warn" Suge. That may have been what Danny Boy was inferring with that comment. Reggie and Danny Boy, along with Suge, are all very messy people. They all know alot about each other (ie Reggie revealing that Danny Boy was gay, forcing him out the closet years ago). My guess is all 3 of these guys have dirt on each other.

I'm actually shocked Reggie hasn't gotten a book deal. He must just not want one, because the numbers his Bomb 1st and Vlad TV interviews do is more than enough to get a nice advance from a publishing company. From there, you can sell the rights, if that's what you choose to do, for a screenplay to be written, and ultimately, a series or doc to be produced. Reggie, Mob James & Alex, if they were all on the same page, could've spun off Gangsta Chronicles in many different directions. Somebody would put money behind it, because it's interesting, and America's always had a fascination with the underworld, gangsters, crooked cops, seedy side of Hollywood and music, etc.
