I still sometimes forget that Pompeo’s an actress, NOT an ACTUAL doctor 🤣
Same here!!!
He should've brought out an LVAD wire
OH MY GOD stooop 😂😂
LMAOOOO 💀💀
Best comment
Only the real knows😂😂
stop that’s still one of the saddest moments I miss danny😭
Twelve Seasons of watching Grey's and at least once a week I have to remind myself that I'm not a real doctor.
+HelloGudbye93 Fr
hahahah same.
Lol same
Nearly 13
Same
I'd still trust her with my life lol
Juliana Fernandez Right lol 😂
I mean she is the chief of general surgery
Juliana Fernandez Ikr 😂😂😂
Sure honey. Don't we all? Except that you do know she PLAYS a doctor rather than having had actual surgical training right?
Just had to ruin the moment 🤦🏽♂️
Aw I love her she has such a pretty smile and laugh. I hope Grey's Anatomy never ends lol!
no it really needs to end, its been dragged out for too long now
I Hope they won’t let any more main characters die I can’t imagine the show without Alex or Meredith
@@Anna-sn6bn alex is leaving
@@ambereidson3882 He left
@@SJ-co2gg congrats you paid attention
To be fair, the forceps are used a LOT of times in Grey's.Maybe she just had a lapsus, but I can't count the times the doctor said forceps on the OR XD
I'm a big fan of Grey's but I've actually never seen them use forceps. I've heard the word before but I've never seen that exact tool.
You must be in a lapsus too lol. They arent seen as much as the ten blade or the clamp but a lit of times they hand the doctor the fórceps.
Elizabeth those are called sponge sticks or forester ring forceps if a sponge isn't on it.
Ashley Clark If you hear the doctor say "fórceps" to the nurse then I guess he is asking for fórceps and not another thing lol right now I'm remembering Burke in the or
Elizabeth he's talking about vascular pickup forceps.
her laugh is like music
Like a music played to torture prisoners.
How am I disrespecting you? #wtf
ikr!
Forever In Neverland lol, maybe because she was traumatized with music😂
Llama16Gamer I love music!!!
The rib spreader just makes me nervous...
It looks like a medieval torture device.
Me too. It reminded me of a documentary I watched yesterday about a 'passionate' female doctor.
And I love people with a passion for work. But hers was just kindof creepy. She thoroughly enjoyed the feeling when new dead bodies arrived to be cut in. Not just excitement but actual joy. She told the interviewer about all kinds of painfull procedures and concluded that she'd rather die than end up in the hospital, because the system was 'so bad' and the procedures were 'so painfull.'
Later another guy joined in and talked about how he'd hated working on the floors instead of the science-rooms. He described how patients were 'shitting all over the floor due to the pills they were given' and that he had to wipe them clean again. Especially comatose people were on his nerves, since they didn't say Thankyou afterwards.
Those kindof people break down my faith in humanity. They need to work in ICT or desig buildings, not care for humans.
😂😂😂
Lemos, Peter Oml 😂 I’m dying
You can actually hear the ribs cracking as you open it, I'm a surgical intern and it gives me anxiety
all that matters is if you know what it does not the name, literally me as a medical student right now hahahahaha
It is true. Knowing the object's name is pointless if you don't know what it's used for.
"quick, he's dying, hand me that metal thingy that looks like a clamp or scissors or whatever"
+mipmipmipmipmip ahahaha
mipmipmipmipmip so so so true, you obviously have to know the name too
Sarah Carmichael if you’re studying to be a surgeon; I’m interested... if just a nurse, nvm.
2:23 that's a spirometer, not a nebulizer
Yes! 😂 dont know what they were thinking
well, ellen did see that it was kinda fishy xD
+Marjon Chua ahahahah omg
Come on, you people don't know what that is, it's easy, everybody knows it's a thingamajig.
Marjon Chua I
lol that is not a nebulizer.
LOL that's what i thought too... INCENTIVE SPIROMETER!!!
It's a spirometer used to test lung strength. A nebulizer is to help inhale. Jimmy was wrong
100% correct! And you don’t blow into it, you breathe from it to see your lung compacity
That was killing me! Nebulizer? Lol!!
I had to look it up because I knew that was a spirometer!! Lol glad to know I was right
17 seasons, 17 years, if she went to medical school, Ellen Pompeo could earn a medical degree and work as a doctor. 😂
She is like the girl next store... natural, not too made up, a face that lights up a room, and such a lovely laugh!
next door
Love being the girl next store
the girl next store is not the girl next store
April Summers no it’s not 💀
1:24 “those are forceps. You use them all the time” “not on grey’s”. Yes. Yes you do. Cristina calls them pick-ups
her laughing is everything
Lol love how Jimmy was so confident about the “nebulizer” but in reality it’s called a spirometer. Ellen was right to question him
"Because I am a woman so I have to questioned everything."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
In the time she was on Greys, she could have gotten a real MD, and finished her residency
She seems so friendly! Love her!
She knew quite a lot of them!! SLAY
and Ellen, I'm pretty sure they have used forceps before on Greys lol ;)
+Rachel Isabelle She knew almost none, but to be fair the names are hard to remember.
Rachel Isabelle 69th like... 😂
Rachel Isabelle Karev uses forceps
I swear every single time I hear Ellen laugh 😂 I laugh so hard because her laugh is so adorable and so is she
That is not a "nebulizer!!!" It's an "Incentive spirometer" it assists patients to take deep breathe during hospital stay so they won't get pneumonia.
Yes that drives me crazy lol
Awdrey Paul Thank you for that!Though, I thought it was an elaborate peak flow meter. I feel like I used something similar when my lungs were tested when I first got diagnosed with asthma, but that was ages ago, so I don't really know.
Dink mtz you're right. It's to asses breathing and lung capacity. Stuff like that there's a few reasons it's used.
Dink mtz and peak flow is to measure the speed you can exhale
I was just going to post this. Thank you.
Its a spirometer! Not a nebulizer! Take it from a first year medical intern.
+Olivia Mac Arthur omg thats so awesome
Don’t take it from her, if we’ve learned anything from Grey’s is not to trust 1st year interns lol. 😂
Kidding. Good job and good luck on your career!
Olivia Mac Arthur What do you want too specialize in?
Olivia Mac Arthur yes queen. Mer who never heard of her. Cristina who never heard of her, Izzy who never heard of her...
@@almarodriguez9144 LMAO
The fact i know they've used forceps in the show and she doesn't shocks me
Elisa Campos that's because those aren't the forceps she uses in the show those are forester ring forceps otherwise known more commonly as a sponge stick.
There's a wide variety of forceps, and the more commonly used ones look like tweezers.
There are different types of forceps. I use pointed ones for fishing and maybe that’s what they used to.
Seeing her getting hyped up that she's got it right is so pure.
2nd to last device is NOT a nebulizer. It's an incentive spirometer. MDs and fellow RNs know that both of them were very wrong. Haha.
And Respiratory Therapist!! ☺️
+kristenbsims131990 exactly!! RTs definitely know 🙌🏻😂
kristenbsims131990 I just said that... neb wasn’t even in the equipment. Bless all Resp Therapist! LVN here
I'm a PCT student and I knew that
👏👏👏👏yes! Rn here.
She’s makes Mer’s voice so much deeper. Had no idea! I kind of love her actual voice.
The one before the incentive spirometer, that she said anesthesiologist uses to put you to sleep, looked like a simple wall connection for humidified oxygen.
A flow meter??
+JoAnna Sturm Yep, a flow meter.
It is a flow meter, you're right.
+Cloud Kurosaki the container below the flow meter basically humidified the O2
@@tamraparrish3526 yes
She kind of reminds me of Mer
She is mer
Ziegler Audioswaps no she’s elen
I wonder why
She meant like personality
RedRoses .Edizz omg I literally just used ur pfp for smth
It hurts a little knowing that someone who is so convincing as a doctor doesnt know these thing. I have a hard time remembering shes an actress. Shows how truly gifted she is
I would have given her the point for “clamp” on the hemostat: we often call them that as that is their function (they clamp blood vessels so you can safely cut them). And the forceps they showed are “ring forceps” which are likely only used on Grey’s with a sponge between them and are then fittingly called a “sponge on a stick.”
1:52 "be careful" I hate to say, I fell in love with Jimmy just because of a small thing like this. I like it when he says thank you and really cares about the little things that are around him.
She is so kind and her smiles it brings me in heaven even if she didn't knew all the surgical supplies
"Harder, come onl"
That's what she said.
hahahahahahha
+Nasra Elmi Not to you
I wanted to comment the same thing 😂😂
Diego Oliveira oh my god
That's not a nebulizer. It's an incentive spirometer you inhale (not exhale-jimmy) and it's to encourage patients to take deep breaths after surgery when it's usually painful (so they don't develop pneumonia or lung collapse from only taking shallow breaths)
Thank you! Lol
Jillian Cox dr webber needed one of those
I love her little laugh so much💕
Well they use forceps on Grey's, but they call them pickups more often.
That's not a nebulizer. Lol that's an incentive spirometer.
You don't blow into it. U suck on it like a straw to work. :)
EXACTLY!!!!
Her laughter is sooooooo adorable❤️
Her little laugh !! The absolute cutest!!
"I'm not gonna admit defeat ever" she's a true scorpio♏
her laugh is so cute aww
Her laugh is everything OMG 😍
Her laugh is so precious!
That's not a nebulizer!!! It's an incentive spirometer and Jimmy you inhale not exhale into it! And those were way smaller than the foreceps they use on babies.
+JoAnna Sturm I think he had Transfer or Magill Forceps. You are probably thinking Obstetrical Forceps
+JoAnna Sturm Thank you for saying that! I was like, I know that one, it is an incentive spirometer. Then I was like, wait am I wrong?
+JoAnna Sturm He had ring forceps or sponge stick (I've heard both). You fold a Raytec sponge and lock it in place so you can use the forcep to get the Raytec down into deeper areas (bowel, thoracic). Magill forceps are curved, not as long, and used for ENT. I see them almost exclusively in peds surgeries for nasal intubation.
It’s a bong
Her laugh gives me life and just makes my day every time
she’s so pure. 🥺
Omg. That was not a nebulizer. Ellen knew it too but didn't wanna say anything on TV lol
If my children are named Meredith, Alex, Christina, George, Derek, or Bailey....don't be surprised.
FR
Her laugh is contagious 😂😂
I have always been loved her smile
her laugh has always been the same. i love her😭💞.
I love her laugh aww
that next to last one was a incentive spirometer not a nebuliser
I love how she looks so proud of herself when she knows the names😂😂
I love her laugh so much it’s the best❤️❤️
I'm 110% certain that Meredith has definitely used forceps before on Greys Anatomy.
She’s a doctor for me
Her little giggle is so cute
Love it how he was blowing into the spirometer while also claiming it to be a "nebulizer"
“i feel like ur calling my things into questionable”
“im a woman of course im gonna question u”
her laugh is EVERYTHING
i love ellen so much 💕 she literally seems like the sweetest person ever, i want to meet her so bad 🥺
As a Grey’s fan, they talk about forceps!! Hehe it’s mentioned in one of Burke’s famous lines to Cristina in Season 2!!!
I love her laugh
as a respiratory therapy student seeing them call the incentive spirometer a nebulizer and watching Jimmy use it wrong actually hurts
I know, annoying
My mom is a respiratory therapist and my sisters have asthma so I was yelling at my phone lol 😂
I’m an asthmatic and was yelling. Ellen said she had asthma, she knew that wasn’t a nebulizer
Oh my gosh. She's such a princess ❤️
Her laughter ✨
I just love the way Ellen laughs.
here laugh is so cute
I love her laugh so much 🥺
Idky but i love when she says Scalpel😂❤
16 seasons of watching greys and I still have to remind myself I'm not a doctor lmaoo
Let me just say that the moment I heard rib spreader on the show I have been hurting ever since LOL.
I needed this lol
her laugh is the most adorable thing
well to be fair the people who name those things like to make it hard to remember the names
No they don't, it's all based off Greek. You sound so ignorant.
greek and latin!
+Aesthetic Rodeo he was probably kidding
🤦🏻♀️
hearing “meredith” forget some of these things is so weird bc i’m so used to her knowing everything since she’s a “doctor”
I always love the way she laugh
I love her laugh 😭💗💗
I’m a surgical tech and for anyone really wanting to know:
The “clamp” is really a Forester Sponge Forceps
The “Hemostat” was really a straight kelly/crile
The “Rib spreader” was really a Burford Rib Retractor
How to become a surgical tech?
You win. Where were you when they needed expert verification for this segment lol
omg shes so cute i love her laugh
her laugh is so cute aww🥺🥺
the uncontrollable smile i had on my face watching this 😅
Is anyone else obsessed with her laugh? Idk why but I love listening to it. Lol💕😂
no cap, i trust her with my life more than anyone lowkey 😂
Same i love her
I love her laugh💓
Such a talented & beautiful actress🌹🌹🌹
rib spreader, doesn't sound nice
That thing is not a nebulizer, it's an incentive spirometer.
Lol her laugh is so cute, I love it 😂😂❤️
She says that they never use forceps on the show but when I watch it, they mention forceps so much and they’ve used them and even Meredith mentioned it herself as well so I think Ellen just forgot
when u know more names from watching Grey's Anatomy than the actress who plays in Grey's Anatomy
Feels good man
Amo a risada dela ❤❤❤
I am a huge fan of the show, I wish I could meet the actors/actresses that would be so freaking awesome
Her laugh is so cute, i love her❤
She so cute !! I love her. 😍😍
Incentive spirometer, not a nebulizer. I'm a nurse and I see them all the time.
She’s great .. love her
I love her laugh so much
