This is like a mans calming therapy. Watching a car get restored and cleaned. so satisfying to watch and just relaxes and comforts you. this is better than any spa.
Working as a mechanic I really have realized that when doing a proper wash/detail like this you should try to remove the plastic inner fender wheel arch linings. They can hide a LOT of dirt and sand behind there, I have even found a few plants growing in a big pile of dirt. Still a great video, greetings from Finland!
Here is a little quick story: There was once a Volkswagen Passat named red because he was colored red. red was a reliable Passat, he transferred everything from smaller families and bigger families. to grocery shopping and Ikea shopping, But as the years pass newer and better Passat came and went, as for red he was becoming old and unattractive but continued his daily service for many more years to come until the family decided to buy a brand new Mercedes, And so the family had waved goodbye to Red the Passat for the final time, And so red was left abandoned In a green Lust forest, until being spotted by a Passat Enthusiast. With the Enthusiast mechanical skills, he decided to rebuild red from the ground up, After a lengthy restoration project red the Passat Felt brand new again as if he was 17 years younger, end so red drove off happily ever after.
I don't believe this car was abandoned 17 years into that field. It was working well and kinda clean. Clear crystals and all. Compare it to the old trucks in the background
I remember the times in mid-1990s when these were still new. I was a boy and was fascinated by the looks of this car. In post-USSR Ukraine's most depressive Luhansk region any foreign car would look as if it was an alien spacecraft.
You can almost hear it say: "THANK YOU" after this. Respect for the effort you put into this. This was build to last, nowadays cars are nowhere near this quality
Really, really great job on the whole "bring her back to Life" series - most people would just leave to scrap/rot, so really well done on the dedication - she didn't need much love, just your time - proves how well these cars were made !
I remember watching the videos on this car when they came out ago and thinking to myself "someday I'll save one of these." Well, I managed to track down a fairly well-kept B3 wagon that needs plenty of TLC, but is otherwise in good shape. I'm hoping to keep it alive and well for alot longer. It's all thanks to these videos, of course.
My grandfather used to have a silver B3 GL. Used to hate this care when I was young: it seemed so ugly without the proper grill, with tiny 1.8 engine, with soulless quare lights.
I have the same car, but it's a white sedan. The 1.6TD has such a unique sound. Not exactly fast, but the feeling i have when i drive it is incomparable.

if he did this 10 years later the car would have become grass

I can not recognise it. It is another car.
You know you got a quality car when it just sits in a ditch for 17 years and starts up. Even the reverse lights work.
Hello from Ukraine, we would have driven this car in our country for at least another 30 years)
Hello! For sale?
