You should make this base, but have the button be in the same room as the bean cans. Curiosity killed the cat and all, just wait to see how long it will take for the trapped players to press the button. You could also mess with the door controller set up to a button you have placed on your side of the window, so you have a better view on if someone is inside to properly trap them without staring into the corner to close the door through the wall. Just some ideas, love the content!
I love it! There's actually been studies where people are locked in a room with absolutely nothing to do but a button to press, and they are told they will receive a mild electric shock if they press the button, increasing each time they do it. From sheer boredom, people do press it, some even multiple times. I could totally see this working in a trap base. Probably not the telling them part, but the boredom to button press part for sure.

you should try to make one with campfires, i made one with my buddy and it's pretty cool.
basically you fill a whole room with campfires and shuffle some igniters and sprinklers on the roof, then you figure out a way to make it turn on (we used a heartbeat sensor)

@@funluke1368 dude not even. An hour for some of these bases compared to the reward is great. Geared people will fall in and bam. Lol. 2 hours for a secure base is good to. However, no base is truly secure in rust.

You can ignite satchels in the same way. Ive used them with hiden mines to make a "one time use" self destructing base". Before firewaorks were nerfed we had traps where raiders FPS would be tanked to 1 as turrets destroyed them (can kinda still do tiw ith camp fires).
Garry really looked at the success of Garry's Mod and thought to himself, lets double it. Ive never loved a game experience more than rust for its brutality

This has other applications. You could rig an entire base to detonate. Remote detonating claymore mines in the field.
I came about this idea, the igniter does work not just on the bean can grenade but also the bean satchel charges too. Only reason I don't bother doing trap bases with it is that duds despawn in 20 to 40 minutes so unless there's modded server out there that don't have the despawn it's hardly worth it unless you can predict when raiders will come about.
