Jonathan M. Burt, ThD student, is an ordained minister who pastored with the Kansas-Nebraska Conference prior to beginning his doctoral studies at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary. His passion is understanding God’s working in history both biblical and Adventist. His focus of study is the intersection between Biblical Studies and Adventist History and exploring the way that hermeneutical assumptions influence theological outcomes. While focusing on his studies he also serves as the contracted Research Lead for Hope Channel.

I think it means that when the Word was made flesh, God allowed that eternal life to also be in his flesh. Remember, the in the Word was life, and that life was the light of man. So when it became flesh, that also was included.
