Great info! My genealogist grandmothers identified 7 Patriots for me in 1960-70s. During 2weeks to Flatten, I used GRS to find ten more Patriots. I'm seeking to put offspring in SAR with these new names, and renew my own membership in a local chapter.

Great info. My father's parents came from East Galway and my mother's side had more Famine Era immigrants than she knew.
But her mother came from some older lineage. Even those not qualifying me for DAR were interesting.
One Jones had trouble with the law and was sent to Virginia indentured. Young and strong, he served his term and prospered. All his sons served in the Revolution but I am apparently descended from a daughter.
A distant cousin was a rich man whose shipyard was burned by the Brits. Too old to serve, he rode out one day to see a battle. It was the Battle of Monmouth and he was killed by a stray bullet.
Will use your resources to do more research. Even if I do not qualify, no information is wasted....

You've 30 Patriots? This challenges me to find more in my own tree (if there's 1 there's likely more). I have visited two chapters, one had an excellent Rosie Riveter monologs & the other cleaned Liberty Hill cemetery in kennesaw GA

Just spotted this. Is there any special pin or certificate for those of us who joined DAR, having proved a brand new Patriot to DAR? Seems like that should be something special. Thanks.
