Filmed this video august 2013 was there on holiday while touring Alaska thought it was great . Have never seen the tv show and would love to go back but live in the u.k so can't see that happening for a while hope they don't spoil it by making it a big tourist attraction it was fine the way it is as long as the people who live there are happy
Just looked at edge of Alaska watched a clip of massacre in McCarthy the bits on the clip looked the same but covered in snow .you could se the mine in kennicot will watch more of it when I got time on my day off . Thanks
I really like McCarthy, and, I was excited to watch your video; but, the rapid movement, zooming in, and out,etc., actually made me feel physically sick. eg: If you are going to zoom in on a sign, please, focus on it long enough for the sign to be read, before you rapidly zoom out. The fact that I suffer from vertigo, could be part of the reason, that it affected me physically. I truly appreciate your efforts though.

+Danger Gal McCarthy has been a major tourist destination LONG before the show... What you see on the show isnt whats real... Theres already a big airport there, an air strip to the south & one to the east.. At the Kennicott mine theres a big hotel, a pizza & coffee place.. Theres also a camp ground just south of McCarthy also.. Theres other businesses all over the area... Also Jeremy lives 15 miles from town Nothing in town effects him even in the summer tourist months.. Whats true is Neil is trying to get into the Mother Lode mine & when he gets to what he wants in the mine & they decide to go forward it will still be 10+ years to get it safe & open..It really wont bring in more people to the area..
+Danger Gal everything they have showed Neil doing has been on his property & with the mine its privately owned & they owner is partners with Neil..With the electric drama all that was was Neil upgrading his hotel & bar & if people wanted to use power from him they could... Most in the area run solar or generators ...Last I talked to Neil 3 people are using power from him..
