Oh man, so many of us grew up with him. Happy Gillmore, the predator, Rocky. The mandalorian. Really and truly broke my heart.
One of those guys that's always in the background. Wasn't really that guy everyone was talking about all the time, but now I guarantee everyone will be talking about him for at least the next half year.
There's going to be documentaries of his life, & interviews with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Adam Sandler, ect.
And most of all, I'm so happy he got nominated for that Primetime Emmy on The Mandalorian as Greef Karga before his time. There was a million other things he should've gotten an award for...
That was a bloody brilliant review, Mister Santos! Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of my favourite Star Wars characters, and his series of lightsabres-especially the Ep. IV: A New Hope version-are some of the very best to emerge from the Star Wars galaxy! In short, I loved and enjoyed the detailed video! I had a cracking time with it!
Also, I appreciate you drawing comparisons between the 89Sabers and the Korbanth; you went out of your way to give us the gauging, too - that was a lovely little touch! You taught this old English-Italian Doctor something new [about] lightsabres today! Jolly good! 👍

The grips on grenade section on the 89 sabers looks skinnier, & looks like it sinks in a lot deeper between them than on the Korbanth version. And the inside ring of the emitter on the Korbanth definitely is less flat & curves inwards more.
Obi-Wan's lightsaber when he was a master has always been at the top of my list of favorites. One of only two lightsabers I have more than 1 versions of :P

Wow that's awesome by far the best Obi-Wan lightsaber ever I loved the sound very screen accurate and the sound font with master Windu the blaster sounds are Jango fett's blaster that's awesome and it would so be worth the price because you get so much out of it awesome as always John looking forward to the next video review🐉

Your review tempts me to get this from CCsabers. Since learning about the release of the proffie v3.9, I've been anxious about Saber Smiths using the board to see/hear how different they are in comparison to v2.2. I almost purchased UW version, which is different than the 2 you show here, but that v3.9 board................
Problem. I went through the link you provided, but the specs show proffie v2.2. If this is correct, then they must not be releasing the v3.9 yet. Would you check this out for me. Even the pics they have for the hilt show the proffie v2.2 inscribed on the board.
It all comes down to how it’s programmed. It’s the best and worst about proffie because it’s never consistent across the board. It can be programmed in soooo many different ways. Features turned on and off across the board. Drives me insane.
I don’t think the listing has been updated yet. All 89sabers now should be shipping across the board with v3.9. I just got a handful in and they are all v3.9 boards with os7 installed
@@TheCollectorsOutpost I hear you, but until the listing shows v3.9, I'm going to hold off buying it. I want to make sure if I'm ordering a v3.9, that's what I'm getting.
Of course, I'll contact them to see if they can assure me it's the newer board. If they respond to the positive, then they'll get the sale.

I'm just getting into weathering my own sabers, and I've got to remember Aluminum Black! What do you use to sand? I'm working on weathering a black hilt right now, and 60 grit pads work, but man my arms are sore!!
I use 100-1000 grit just depends. I have a handful of weathering videos on the channel here to check out
I gotta say that in the 9 years from the TV series to the time of ANH......Ovi-Wan's lightsaber went through some serious shit. I'm referring to the screen accurate props from ANH. Was Obi using his lightsaber as a Blunt force tool?
My head will explode... I've been looking for an Obi Wan Kenobi saber for 2 weeks to give myself as a treat on my 40th anniversary. I would never have imagined that there would be so many different brands and models and spending half my salary on something I can't examine first worries me.
Why are there engraved letters on the OB4 model (GRAFLEX) when Obi Wan's original saber has nothing? Why not stick to the original?
Which version is better? V3.9 of OB3.5? Or V2.2 of OB4?
It is comfortable? Or maybe the OB1 has a better grip?

Don't explode. Well, I hate saying this but its true. You kind of just have to buy and see if you personally like a version or nothing. and if you don't you just post it for sale. its a huge learning curve to try to take it all in at one time. Just because I like the look of the OB4 you may like the OB 3.5 better as a personal preference. Thinks i hate other have no problem with and things im fine with other hate. so truly, the only real way of figuring out what you will like is buy taking the step to find out. USE THE FORCE!
What exactly is the bronze material on the OB3 saber? I see it on a lot of the reproduction models. The texture/color looks more like its been powder coated or painted as opposed to polished metal. I could be totally wrong though. I much prefer the weathered details on the neck of the korbanth.
So Im curious about the internals of the OB3.5 vs the OB4. I like the look and buttons on the OB4 better but was wondering about sound quality between the 2 and the boards between the 2. Excellent reviews and I have bought one saber before but this will be my first replica one. Thanks for any help!

I just got this saber a couple weeks ago and it’s my first profile and I have noooooo idea how to add custom sound fonts to it
Adding more fonts is all coding. You need to learned how to code proffie on the computer. You can how ever do what I do and just pull out the SD card and swap out the audio files with other proffie formatted audio files.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost is adding fonts to a profile a lot different than adding fonts to a xenopixle? My last two were xenopixles and I knew how to code them
If I purchase this specific blade will I have the same options of changing colors as demonstrated!? Need to know how to get this exact one please!
It has nothing to do with the blade it self, it’s how the board is programmed. If you get this hilt from this vender if should be the same as what you see here but if you get it from some other place the board could very well be programmed a bit different.
Would you recommend CC’s obi 3.5 or the obi 4 (carbon steel) by 89sabers? Gonna order today just cant choose

Hey! I just purchased one and it feels amazing! But I do have a question as it's my first lightsaber. I was wondering if the fact that yours look so bright has anything to do with your camera setup? Mine looks like a plain color, and not the classic white tube with color on the edges due to brightness
Hey, yeah thats what blades look like on camera. you will never ever see anything more than a color blade with the naked eye no matter what blade you use including a $500 quad star blade. the white core you see on movies, photos or in reviews like mine is nothing more than how the camera sees it in a dimly lit room due to that camera exposer setting. I can rebalance all the lighting in the room and it will look normal BUT when i use to do that every one hated it and said they don't look bright. I can make a Disney saber look just as bright. I'm deciding whether to get this obi one 3.5 89sabers light saber or the luke v2 weathered 89sabers and I'm curious as to what had the better sound quality as you seemed to be very impressed with the obi one, one. Or would you say there about as good as each other or literally the same give or take? Thankyou

@@TheCollectorsOutpost how hard is the proffie set up? Ive only had base lit so this would be my first proffie, just a tad intimidated by the idea of having to figure out how to config everything
damn that control box card is poking out quite a bit. Quite disapointing for the price, it should be flush with the control box. Seems to be a problem with all 89 sabers ive seen.
Didnt Anakin build the Graflex for ep 3 after the ep2 light saber was destroyed

Hello I bought mine today and I have a few question that I was hoping you or anyone in your community could answer,
Model:89 sabers OB3.5 proffie
1-does is lightsaber duel resistant and if so how resistant?
2-does it have an app to control it or everything must be configured through the board?
3-is this ccsabers better compared the the obiwan version around the same price at Artsabers and TheorySabers?
1: I would never duel with a thin next saber. Very little blade fits in the emitter.
2. 89sabers proffie do not has an app. SNv4 pro and xeno have apps.
3. Nether theory or artsabers sell 89sabers. They sell TXQ and or NEXUS sabers and that is SNv4 and xeno technology and both have apps

I dont have the really show used prop to compare but they are both great but this comes in cheaper and I dont even think you can get the Korbanth one any more unless its 2nd hand.

So incredibly overpriced. Beautiful saber, but I wouldn’t pay half that for it.
