    Great video as always!
    the wolf king gtr is a completely awesome scooter for the price. because i like to ride with frequent use of the excessive power, i much prefer at least a 45 to 60 amp hour battery, and i also much prefer the power and responsiveness of higher voltage, such as 84 volts nominal, and 94 volts fully charged.
    with that said, the wolf king gtr is absolutely powerful, has great range, and is next level in every way. everything about this scooter is next level.
    anyone thinking about buying a dream scooter for a few thousand dollars, i would say its well worth the wait to save a little more and buy the gtr.
    with the future tech of being able to remove the battery, anyone can have a second, and even a third battery on standby, and changing the battery only takes approximately three minutes, and then you are on the road again for another significant time period of joy, in experience.
    i also feel strongly about super scooters being able to charge in under 30 minutes. graphene batteries (see rumble motors ebikes with the option/choice of graphene batteries, which can accept an 80 amp charge, at a cycle life of 20,000 charge/discharge cycles) (i utilize alien rides j1772 to 5-15 charge adapter on my roger charger, to connect to level 2 ev charging stations)
    implementing the latest technologies into these scooters is essential to keeping this incredible momentum going, where everyone, almost everyone, wants a scooter, and even more, want to have some form or type of alternative micro mobility for local travel and commuting.
    self sealing self healing tires is a big win for the wolf king gtr, and dualtron is also utilizing this “no flat tire” tech, which is now a minimum standard for any and all scooters. no one wants a flat tire. and no one wants a mess from liquid tire sealants.
    thats where self sealing self healing tires come in. next level no flat tire tech, here to stay, and here to get you where you need to go, without the delay of a flat tire experience.

    So, I just got my Wolf King GTR 3 days ago. It is my 2nd high speed scooter. The first was a Nanrobot RS7 which I can now sale. So the GTR, I honestly had an issue with the ABS brakes. At low speeds, they would pulsate when brakes were applied. So I went into Advanced settings and turned ABS off. Problem went away. I also had a minor problem with brake squeak from rotor dragging on brakes. So I loosened caliper mount held brakes on to center brakes then while holding brakes tightly. Problem solved. So there was the bad. Now the good. 1st: Freaking Fast, Fast, Fast!!! And that's only mode 2!!! Ok, 2nd: Smooth as hell, plus zero body creaking.
    3rd: This scooter is quiet Barely any motor noise, just the tires scratching under heavy acceleration. 4th: this thing is fun to ride. I came back after a ride and immediately wanted to go for another. Addictively fun! 5th: estimated range seems to be good. After 10.4 miles of riding, the battery still says 100% or down to 80.4 volts. I know its only been 3 days and 10.4 miles but so far I love this thing!

    I wouldn't recommend the Kaabo Wolf Gt Pro because putting the tire back onto the frame is a pain. It has Four motor hook washers and they are hard to mount back on when you are putting the tire back onto the frame. If you are like me and likes something that can be easily fixed I recommend the Nami E Burn 2 Max.

    The war for the fastest scooter is always going to be there, but the true innovation isn't in making bigger platforms & longer wheelbases where the weight & size of these scooters is simply too cumbersome.
    I like what Apollo did with their Pro model - they improved the IP rating so it's rainproof, they put on puncture-resistant, 12" tires, added regen braking, etc. It's still weighs only 95lbs, so anyone reasonably strong can lift it into a car on their own. It's 55" long so if you have a hatchback, it'll fit. The Pro is nowhere close to perfect for the price, but I admire their approach.
    The innovation that'll bring the most rewards is of course battery improvement - range, rate of charge, longevity, temp management, output. We've already got high output motors (Segway GT2's got 3000w per wheel), so unless controllers start performing actual magic, it's gonna be innovation in the form of improving batteries while not adding too much to the total weight.
    Stems seem like dead weight other than their initial purpose & housing cables. I wonder if stems will start housing extra batteries or proprietary controllers - they can expand toward the rider (like a shark fin) to add real estate without getting wide & non-aerodynamic like the Wolf King.
    Will there be wireless charging pads/mats? How about low/high beam headlights? Electronically adjustable, on-the-fly suspension modes? Onboard "dash" cams? Auto-retractable bike locks? Electronic braking systems (no brake cables above foot-level)? Auto-retracting/extracting kickstands? Width-adjustable handlebars? More elaborate folding options to make for easier transport, like the footboard collapsing accordion-style to rest over the wheels but of course not affect the battery? Perhaps have the battery pack foldable so it folds upwards a bit too?
    What I look forward to most is lighter components....some day I can unfold a 50lb, 30"-long scooter from my trunk & have stretch to like 50"+ and it take me to 80km/h for 100 kms. I respect these giant scooters like the Wolf King GTR, but when they're that big & heavy, they shouldn't brag so much about how much more comfy or fast they are. If someone loads something the size of a shipping pallet with batteries & throw wheels on it, you're gonna get more power & top speed. You'll also take up a full lane of traffic.
    Maybe scooters & e-bikes will meet halfway & result in electric motorbikes that are actually worth the money.

      @KiziEwheels  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I couldn't agree more. I never liked these big, non-portable electric scooters because they seem to lose focus on what an electric scooter should be. That's why people continue to show interest in Rion, even with the lack of customer service and actual product delivery. The Rion Apex was supposed to set the standard for what electric scooter companies should be working toward. An 80lb electric scooter that can reach 80+ mph with quality brakes and power. That's why I went with my Hollyburn GS. This GS is as large as a Dualtron X2 but only weighs 102 pounds, while the Dualtron X weighs about 200 pounds.

    • @NunchucksHabit
      @NunchucksHabit Před 7 měsíci

      @@KiziEwheels I recall drooling over the Rion as well. I'm sure it's the apex right now, but it's TOO exclusive. How much of its construction (e.g., handmade carbon fibre frames) is really necessary, and what has someone committed to buying ($10k+) and waiting for in a market that moves so fast?
      A scooter becomes something else after a certain size. I can pick up my '23 Apollo Phantom & set it across the back seat of my Subaru without putting the back seats down to use the trunk. Doors close. Another few inches & it becomes a bloated yaak I have to negotiate into the trunk.
      I've never before heard of the Hollyburn GS, so I just checked it out. Stats are incredible! Gonna watch a couple of vids on it of course before I judge it. Love the concept - though the chain drive seems really peculiar. And still ~100lbs and 55" long, like the Apollo Pro... and IP67? You could ride that totally under water a few minutes! I'm looking at getting either a Nami Burn-E2 Max or the Apollo Pro in the spring (< $5k). If you convince me to order the Hollyburn, I'll have to sell my car, lol. I've been inquiring about steps I can take to improve the IP54 rating on my Phantom so I can ride in the rain, but the home remedy style tricks vs. a possible $1100 battery replacement....nah.
      I piss on the top speeds of some scooters, though I'm rarely going faster than 60km/h (37mph) on the Phantom. I think the small tires are what make me uneasy - 10" tires @ 60km/h+ doesn't feel right. If I had 11" or larger tires, I might feel better about 80km/h (50mph) & beyond.

      @@NunchucksHabitMy mid-range ES10p from Laotie is a great scooter as well. That one hits 38mph, and the range is great with the 21700 28.8aH battery I have ridden in the "real world" 50 miles on a charge. It weighs only about 70lbs. I paid $1150 for 2 years and counting with not 1 problem. But I am also a fan of my "beasts" the QuickWheel S3's 1.5600watts $1350 direct from the factory 2.6000 watts 60 mph sine wave $1350 direct from the factory. Both super range, I have done 68 miles (2 days counted) on 1 charge. I just can't see spending crazy money on those Dualtrons, Kaabos, etc.. when I get the same speed, thrills, range, and well-built Scooters at a great price. Some people can't even change a tire on one of those, they have to take them to a shop which costs even more.

    • @NunchucksHabit
      @NunchucksHabit Před 7 měsíci

       @lionelhowell4972 A 70lb scooter that goes 50 miles on a real world ride is incredible! Those prices are too good. I believe you, it's just here in Canadian dollars, it costs more since there isn't much selection yet. That Laotie ES10p seems 'generic' though, and the site looks like it's a popup site to sell something parted together with discount parts. It might be top quality, I'm new to the scene, and I thought Nami was the same despite their being the king of the production scoots. The brakes look questionable. It looks like I'd never get parts or support. Just how the site looks. The production pics of it, etc - anyway, it looks like a Chinese startup that you can't trust. That's a lot of faith in something that takes my fat arse 70km/h on 10" wheels lol.
      I got my new '23 Apollo Phantom for about $1500 USD ($2100 CDN). It's got 1200w motors & a top speed around 44mph & real world range, I usually get about 60kms (37 miles). If I use eco on a long, straight road - which I've done, I got 55kms by 50% drain (I'm 195lbs). It's also in Canada so I get my support in English & things are shipped to me in eastern canada in like 2 days max. I can change tires, I installed a new hydraulic brakes system, I've performed maintenance - it's a good, stable situation. But, like always, "I want more" haha. I changed the tires on my '22 Apollo Ghost once - the rest of the time I effed it up. On my Phantom, it's not hard at all.
      The "more" I want isn't Dualtron/Wolf GTR, it's like the Nami Burn-E2, which unless I change my mind, is to be my next scooter. The Apollo Pro is also possible. I like Kizi's Hollyburn but it's way out of my price range.It's not that I mind paying more for a scooter, I just want to keep it portable-ish & not have to sink too much money into a transient tech. I want IP6 water resistance, bigger, puncture-resistant tires, a more solid frame, better software and slightly more speed/range. I get tired on a scooter after about 30kms. It's not just the standing, I get bored. But I want it available again in 3hrs if I need to go out again.
      I have a lot to learn about the differences between my 58.8V Phantom vs something like a 72V scooter. I always thought it was "battery quality, size, drain rate & longevity" vs "electric motor type & wattage" vs "controller that determines how much of the battery to use at once, at what temps" vs "is the controller meant to get more performance for sales & bragging rights but sacrifice the lifespan of the battery pack?"
      I see the Segway with its 3000w motors topping out around the same top speed as my Phantom & the Apollo Pro & wonder why they didn't just use 1500w motors. That's the tech I have to learn about.
