Dior Homme 2020 is one of my signature scents. I love that it's classy but rugged and woody at the same time
Im newer to the fragrance world and despite alot of the hate, i pulled the trigger on Dior Homme 2020 and i was blown away. Im still refining my nose to the different notes in a fragrance but it just smelled so clean and masculine! My wife who doesnt normally say anything about the fragrances I've been showing her, verbally said "wow that smells really good"! So this is definitely going to be one of my signature scents! I was very surprised with the surprise sweetness on the drydown though.
Also i got a sample spray of Prada L'Homme and Bleu De Chanel EDP and i actually preferred the Prada L'Homme. It smelled amazing and for me not being a fan of powdery smells, i loved it! BDC is definitely nice and clean but it didnt project much at all. felt like a more intimate fragrance where you have to be really close to catch. Maybe ill try the EDT and Parfum and see if theres more projection out of those.

I will be having a 150 ml azzaro wanted intense and pdm herod by the end of the month i'm really excited to get it. I already have decants and i recently got a decant of prada lhomme and i really really really really loved it !! It's a perfect clean fragrance that is really versatile and i will 100% get a full bottle as well. My signature fragrance is le beau le parfum from jpg.
One more thing can you please do a review of 1 million royal and all the new elixirs coming out this yr like spicebomb, prada and jpg? I'm dying to watch another solid content. Always stay fragrant ! ☝🏼

I had to upgrade my fragrances that I had from high school the very first sample I got from scent bird was initio parfums oud for greatness and fell in love and got my self a bottle and been using it ever since along also my second scent is also parfums de marly kalan

Some wonderful selections in there. You were close to mine, which is Layton but the Exclusif version. I tend to dress dark and keep a low profile so some call me ominous at times (I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or not, lol). It does fit my profile and that scent just warms my soul. I find it comforting. I will say however that I keep swinging it back and forth Amouage's Boundless since it came out. Karine Vinchon-Spehner's work is incredible.

I tried kenzo EDT intense today. Seen it being hated on quite a bit so I thought I'd see how bad it is but wow I couldn't believe how much I liked it. The drydown is really nice. Very unique scent. So I got a bottle 😂

I’ve also seen the negative reviews on Kenzo EDT intense. It’s impossible to find where I live. I blind bought the EDP 2020 version made by Quentin Bisch. At the time there was only one source here in the US. From what I understand, it’s a completely different fragrance. On skin, the EDP triggers instant nausea. In the air it smells OK. I’ve never had a fragrance hit my brain in such a negative way.

@@marcusbaumgardner1182 The EDP is quite different from the rest and it's also one that quite a few enjoy a bit more than the rest. It's a different kind of powderiness with a focus on vanilla that's a bit spicy and has just the perfect amount of sweetness for its kind of scent.

Woody, an adjective which means “like wood”. A woody scent pertains to the smell of wood.
Woodsy is an adjective that describes a place which resembles a forest or woods for that matter. It may also refer to the scent of the atmosphere inside a heavily forested area or region.
But also describes a person in the means of elegance, wood isn’t for kids, it isn’t cheap and it’s sophisticated. When you wear a perfume that has wood, you become a person like George Clooney. Not a camper or a scout boy

My 5 signatures are Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, PDM Herod....as you can see tobacco scents are high on my list and these 2 are my favorites. Next 2 Are both Initio's...Oud for Greatness and Musk Therapy....I've become an Initio snob after my first 2 purchases lol.....and to round out the top 5, a sweet gourmand that the Rotten Rebel himself talked me into blind buying is Angels Share by Kilian. It's just WOW!! Honorable mention, because I hate leaving it out the top 5, is Acqua Di Gio Profumo!!
Watch out for Initio (and PDM btw).. It's VERY easy to become addicted to their scents 👀😂 Musk Therapy is insanely addictive and angels share is straight up addiction.. All those are epic scents 🤩
@@rottenrebels oh I've realized the PDM addiction. Bought my first just before Christmas and now have 5. Each one is just so good and different than the next. Herod,Layton,Pegasus,Carlisle,Percival so far. Got a sample of Sedley coming and Initio's Rehab and Paragon. I just keep getting myself in deeper lol 🤷♀
Just started my fragrance game, so I don't have yet that big collection to choose a signature from. But for this time, I can say my signature is YSL Y EDP. CDNIM/MB EXP/AVENTUS are quite common here in the Philippines so I chose a different type of scent which is more unique for some and still gets compliments 😁

@@rottenrebels not yet, I am still trying to buy different fragrances from different designers but I do consider getting Y EDP intense and LNDL Bleu Electrique and Le Parfum. I got a whiff of LNDL Le Parfum from my previous manager and it smelled great. I first thought that it was Bleu de Chanel and I was wrong 😂

Another 'classic' safe and very easy to wear YSL scent that's extremely mass appealing, but I think it's so good and it's a bit different compared to the origina Y EDP. Bleu electrique is not strong but it's so good I bought a backup bottle of it 👌
For me the best rose fragrance is Arabian oud Resala.

Your opinion of the old brown bottle concentrée Sandalo (which is harder to get now) vs the new black bottle EDP that is available?
So I've been through a 100ml of the brown bottle which smelled identical to my current 180ml brown bottle. I also tried a "new" version twice and while I did not do a side by side to my brown bottle it did smell pretty much the same as my brown bottle.
I believe the scents in newer bottles are based on the same original scents and they that they wanted to change the designs. I could be wrong, but out of the ones I tested that seems to be the case. I have AdP´s leather in both brown and black and I feel it's pretty much the same scent. 😊 Go for a brown bottle if you can find one, they are usually a lot cheaper.

Comme de Garcon is a brand I never really tried that many fragrances from. I tried concrete and a few more a few years ago. I guess that's your favorite Comme de Garcons scent and something you would recommend?

My work time rotation includes hacivat, cedrat boise, reflection man, H24, tom ford grey vetiver, vetiver by guerlain, bleu de channel EDP and some aventus dupes (supremacy NII, CDNIM, explorer). I have by now 35 in my collection. Love the most fall/winter fragrances, but as it’s hot all year around, tend to use this kind of fragrances less.
About Layton. Haramain’s Amber Oud Exclusif Bleu is a great dupe. Ive being wearing it for the last weeks, especially at night. Amazing stuff.

@@kristianbalon5352 My favorite frag currently. It develops beautifully. No similarity to aventus. Lasts 12 hour or more, and still projects by the end of the day. Around 5 hours the jasmine appears loud and it becomes a floral scent with woody/fruity nuances in my skin. Love it..
Woody means it smells like wood. Woodsy smells like it's in the woods. One however could argue that the Hardwoods smell woody while the softwoods like Pine smell woodsy since their smell lends themselves to an entire area versus the tree itself.

Hi! Ombre Leather is a solid performer, even though I wish the projection would be just a bit stronger. I know some people get really strong projection from it though.
I personally go with about 5 sprays for something that's not projecting in a super strong way, and about 10-12 if I want it to project in a way where most people can get a whiff of it.
Maybe start with about 3-5 sprays and see what works for you?

So between Kenzo EDP and Kenzo EDT Intense, which do you think is better from the two?
I just bought the EDT (2022) and looking forward to doing a comparison of them all since I really like the EDP and the edt intense.
The edp and the EDT are quite different with the edp going for that aquatic/leather combo and the edt intense being much brighter and fresher with that woody and fresh combo together with that sort of fruity freshness. There are some similarities but the scents are different and the wearing experience is different.
The EDP is something I'm enjoying quite a bit right now but I actually reach for the edt intense even more. Just love that big burst of fruity freshness and it's unique scent. So not perhaps better, but I'm definitely enjoying it more.
If you are looking for a unique leather/aquatic blend then the edp is the one. if you prefer something woody with a lot more freshness to it, that to me is quite unique then the edt intense is the one. 😁
Will update once I get the edt I bought and do a proper comparison of those 3. 😊
EDT is better for me. Tried both today. Ended up getting a bottle of EDT. Performance is brilliant

Wear Dior Homme 2020 as work scent. I was picking up my child from daycare and a worker there was tracking down where the lovely scent was coming from. She said it you that’s smells wonderful. She wouldn’t stop sniffing me 😂. I had to tell her what it was.

Creed Viking is the perfect signature scent! At least for a middle aged man like me. Too bad it's not exactly cheap 😅

My all-time signature scent is the Bleu De Chanel EDP which can be worn in any season, but in the Spring/Summer it's GIT and Royal Vetiver and in the Fall/Winter it's Citizen Jack Parfum. Dope content. Peace.
Thanks for sharing! Any of the Bleu de chanels are very easy to wear and definitely scents most people like 😊 I have not tried royal vetiver and Citizen Jack. Actually have not tried anything from Michael Malul.. Good house with nice perfumes?

Rebel what you think, red tobacco or pdm carlisle?
Good question! I actually never thought of them being similar until you asked this.. 😊 The opening is quite similar but they do go in different ways in the dry down.
It's a tough one because they are both spicy and woody scents with vanilla and I do enjoy the more intense woodiness of Carlisle, but I also enjoy the more intense sweetness and smoothness of Red Tobacco.
Carlisle feels a bit more well-made and dries down to something that smells a bit more complex with more layers to it, whereas red tobacco dries down to something that's mostly sweet vanilla & tobacco with super smooth woodiness.
Tough one because both are very attractive scents, but I would probably go with Carlisle. The opening of it its not my favorite part but when it dries down it's really nice 🤩 Really like Red tobacco though.

Rehab is my favourite from Initio.
It's a stunning scent! Some people think it's extremely close to spicebomb, but I think it's very much doing it's own thing. What are your thoughts on that?
@@rottenrebels It has obvious similarities to Spicebomb but it is far superior in the drydown. Initio has much woodier basenotes with the sandalwood making it extremely clean smelling, smooth and luxurious.

My signature scent is Givenchy L'interdit Eau de Parfum intense. This is a fragrance which leans masculine but was initially made for women I think. The rest of the line or flankers is more feminine unlike the intense. It is a beautiful sexy smell. It is an alluring scent. I could wear it every day. Makes you feel confident. The performance is not that bad. I use a atomiser through out the day because I like a bombastic performance as I wear it. Otherwise it has a good performance I think. Check out a sample if you want

I was told the rest of the flankers leaned more feminine and that Givenchy L"intedit Eau De parfum intense was the only one that a male could get away with wearing "which I believe to be true! However I am curious to know what the rest of flankers smell like. I am pretty sure they are feminine but I would like to smell to make sure because Givenchy L"intedit Eau De parfum intense smells fantastic to me, just fantastic and is male leaning.

Both Givenchy L'interdit Intense and Rouge are 💋 ... I was reaching for Gentleman Givenchy and accidently sprayed this... Oh man, it's a dark warm alluring scent and radiates like crazy... Guys can rock this! Now I have to buy my wife two new bottles!
I'd say Diptyque Tempo is my signature scent but also Lancome Hypnose Homme lol
