Glacier National Park's Red Bus Tour!

- What do you do when your big red van is too long to take the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park? You take a big red bus instead! This summer we spent a few days in the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park, but we really wanted to visit the Going to the Sun Road, too. Because our van was too long, we hoped on a Big Red Bus Tour, and had a great time being shown all the beautiful sights that Glacier National Park had to offer!

A B O U T U S
We’re Eric and Ashley, an American couple who has spent the last 5 years living and working in Saudi Arabia. We’ve traveled a TON in the time we’ve been here, but in the craziness of 2020 (and 2021), we decided to finally do some real exploring in the country we’re fortunate enough to call home for now. That's what got our CZcams Channel started.
After almost 2 years without returning to the US, we finally made it back in July of 2021 and took the chance to explore some of our home country by setting off through the beautiful national parks of the Rocky Mountains.

Hi Margaret! The Red Bus Tour picked up from the St. Mary Village restaurant/hotel, so we were able to just park our van there for the day. It was fantastic - enjoy your trip!

Enjoy! If I remember correctly I (Eric) had a 24-70 and 70-200 while Ashley probably had her 16-35. Landscapes are definitely the big draw on that trip, although I was glad to at least have my 200mm in my bag when we saw the bear.

I am trying to get to Glacier National Park, but getting an online campground reservation is brutal. It's hard. I rarely trust anything first come first serve route in the summertime.
Yep, it's super hard! We ended up getting our spots when people cancelled about 2 weeks before. We just checked the parks page over and over and over :)
hey there, We're going july 2023. did they stop at every viewpoint? theres like 20.
I don't think we stopped at every stop, but there were plenty of chances to stop, get out, enjoy the view and stretch a bit. I feel like there was so much to see, but we had a really good experience for only having a day to visit the Going to the Sun Road.

Were the roads scary?
We had a great driver, so we were able to focus on the views instead of the road. I don't remember being nervous at all 😃
