Can we all just give it up for the woman with the baby! Coolest mom ever!
idk man her voice was kinda weak
The baby was a prop, all part ofthe story
Compare this to Eponine in the other top les Mis flash mob on CZcams. Holy heck
Cultura se face din mers, oricand si oriunde doar dsa nu fie ORICE !!!!!
And the totally disinterested guys!!! Yuk!
I love the bit at about 1min 35secs when a woman coming down the escalator looks so happy having been sung to!!
Me too - she’s a sharp lass, held onto both rails just to make sure and the skip at the end makes you wish you were her.
Oh my God!!! I want to experience a flash mob so badly! And to be in the middle of Les Miz. How incredible!
Me too! You'd think that, living in L.A., at least one flash mob would have found me. I'll never forget when I saw Les Miz in a theater. Incredible experience!
I would love it too....too wonderful!!
I'm in North west England. Still waiting ... but then as I spend most of my time walking in the countryside, I think my chances are slim! 😄
@@Mealwormsforrobins Well, keep watching. I will be in Ireland and other parts of the British Isles the last half of the year. Wish me luck!
@@jackienaiditch7965 me too! I saw the play in the '80s in the UK. It was so moving I cried my heart out and bought the CD! The rock singer that played Eponine was absolutely brilliant in that company. I'm really happy I bought the CD from them. Les Mis is very special message that most people can relate to.
Watched this 5 times now and can't stop crying in appreciation of these gifted people. Seeing the joy on peoples faces was truly moving. Amazing!
Right?! I just started bawling spontaneously. Glad I'm not the only one... #lesmizlove
Me too!!!!
i just wish people would put their phones away and enjoy the performance. there are obvious professionals recording it and it will go on CZcams.

Hello, les miserables.
We need more of this, everywhere, reaching peoples hearts and souls. This is what will turn our world around again. Thank you, grateful and blessed.♥️♥️🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is what humankind must aspire to. If you understand, you understand. If you don't, please try to. It's about joy and communion. Joyousness and joyfulness, if only for a few minutes in a crowd.
@@merlin8537
Yes! Exactly!
That little boy held in his mother's arms being sung to by one of the singer will never forget that moment. It will in inspire him in his life. Truly uplifting.
If you like this kind of goosebump performances look up Flashmob in Nuremberg of Beethoven's Ode to Joy.
I guarantee you'l love it and watch it more than once... I have saved it ion my Favorites sop I watch it as often as I have the time...
Music isn't what is needed in this awful, wicked old world. What is needed is the transforming power of Jesus Christ and the love of Almighty God.
I love how the actor singing Enjolras starts up the down-escalator, mimicking the revolving stage when it's performed, and the two-steps forward, two-steps back they do when this song is performed in the musical. Such a little thing, but it's a very clever piece of business when performing in a non-theatre venue like this.
I think he's playing Valjean.
@@pjmincanada5747hes doing both
@@pjmincanada5747In fact, he's playing both.
I love how they brought in members of the crowd who knew the lyrics. Such a wholesome video!
The people in the crowd who knew the songs were part of group that started performing 🙂
I love this music a d flash mobs!!
That lady in the red coat I couldn't figure out if she was actually part of the group! I don't think she was, just really got into it. Imagine what she had to say when she got home. 'How was your day'?. 'Well ... '
@@GraemetheGuiriLordHaHa Was she the one with the super high soprano? I was trying to see if all the performers had mics or only the "leads". I think she was in the group... or else they really lucked out!
This is the kind of flash mob I like…the ones where you can tell all the people around weren’t expecting a flash mob in the middle of a public square to happen by giving them lots of empty space. When the flash mob is literally surrounded by non mobbers then you know it’s going to be a good one and not one that feels like any other performances…I hope that made sense🤔
Being the first person in one of these has got to be one of the scariest things! Huge props
I love that-- after the first song, everyone's like, "that was great, moving on now" then suddenly-- "But wait, there's MORE!"
i'm usually not moved by musicals, but i just love les miserables.
My favorite ❤️🤩
Using the escalator to show him walking was genius
Can you imagine that booming voice coming at you on a narrow escalator? 😊👏
Is it asking too much to just once have this unfold in front of me?
Sure, they’re singing in the market, and I’m in a queue, buying a ticket to the theatre . . .
Agree!
It is advertising and promotion so others may choose to join that queue, too!
@@barnowl5774Actually that’s not right. It was to celebrate Bastille Day. Les Mis had long left town.
Love the homage to the moving stage using the escalator. Very clever.
Omg, hands down the best flash mob I’ve ever seen. Wonderful voices, brilliant interaction with the people at the market. I had tears dripping off my chin by the end!
SAME!!!😭😭😭
Check out the one at the Orlando Mall. It's so moving.
@@meghanmonroe I will, thanks. :)
Brilliant! In my opinion THE most beautiful musical ever written and performed. I will always regret not having seen the original performance in person... True goosebump music..
I saw the original British cast about 20 times. I still want to see them again!
@@stockwellsantley6606 Then you are by far one of the luckiest people on this planet.
I never got the chance and will regret it for the rest of my life...
@@EagleOneM1953 Hopefully there'll be a revival you can see somewhere near you at some time. There's one in London next year and it's touring the rest of UK, Ireland, Japan and the US after.
@@feanorian21maglor38
I live near Dallas now and I doubt they will ever come here... and going to the UK is out of the question, you'd have to be a millionaire to buy a roundtrip ticket to Europe these days.... Haven't seen my family there in over a decade because I cannot afford the $1500 it costs these days.
Besides, it won't be as good ss the original with the original cast. I saw the remake on PBS and although not bad it wasn't as good sas the original with Colin Wilkinson and the original innkeeper....
@@EagleOneM1953 Sorry you've not seen your family for so long, that's the worst thing about living in another country, even if you love your adopted country. Yes, the show will be quite some distance from you. I've checked, and unfortunately they are not doing Dallas this time around. Maybe in the future. Good luck.
The Mama and her baby, are just beautiful. Les Miserables makes me cry like a baby.
What a nice treat for the shoppers and any Les Miserable flash mob brings me to tears.😭
Fabulous it made my day!
Flash mobs always make me cry w joyful feelings. Love them so much.
One of the male singers started his career with my ex-wife teaching him singing and i had the very great pleasure of having him sing beside me as the other tenor in the choir i was in at the time. Through hard work and constant practice, he has become a fine baritone and a wonderful husband and father to his family of about twenty boys (well that is an exaggeration, but he doesn't know how to produce girls as yet) Josh, you are a hero to me and hopefully remain a good friend for my remaining years, even though you live in Adelaide and I live in Coffs Harbour. I think the chances of the two of us singing "In the depths of the temple" have long gone but it would have been fun to try it!!!
Ah the human spirit will never be dampened. Congratulations everyone…fabulous.
The best flash mob . I like the interaction among the public.
Can't stop smiling but crying. Am 65 and these songs make me feel good the the singers make me feel great. Greetings from the Philippines!
Just beautiful, I live in Adelaide & didn’t know this happened. Thank you to the State Theatre Co., & Adelaide Central Market.
State Opera of South Australia.
AWESOME! One of the best flash mobs i ever saw online - wish I coulda been there! These songs are SOOOOO relevant now too, as humanity finally begins to demand and embody Freedom once and for all!😀💪👍
Jeeez 40 seconds in and I'm crying already!
I love watching Flash Mobs on CZcams and this is one of the best ever!
It’s a picture on the faces of people that appreciated that! … Thank you😀
More of this, and the world will be happier for it!
Fantastic. Beautiful. Joyful. Music is magic, and people can become magicians when they are inspired by it. What a fun day that must have been.
I just bawled. Beatutiful. Thank you. It's my life's desire to come upon a flash mob by accident and just immerse myself in it.
You can’t beat a flash mob for bringing a slice of joy into the mundanity of life!
This is what peoples need no war just muzic, dance, siing, and friendly atmosfere no war. Thanks for this video.
Bravo, well done! I felt like I was playing “Where’s Waldo” as I was trying to guess if the person was a performer or a shopper. I ended up watching it 3 times in a row looking for clues.
I love Adelaide! I have been to that market. I wish I was there now! From Michigan U.S.A.
Hi Jenny, Adelaide loves you too 👌
Such an apt song for our present times!
Fabby - the lass on the escalator with the white coats reaction ❤️
I just get such goosebumps when I see and hear such talent.
We need SO much more
So beautiful & uplifting & moving!! ❤
I would so love to experience a flash mob as fabulous as this! An unforgettable experience!!
Joy, joy and more joy! Just to be a part of this performance of these amazingly talented people, gives me goose bumps. yay! Applause!
With few exceptions, the happy smiles on the faces of the spectators are heart-warming, indeed. I hope to be caught up in a flash mob myself, some day...
I’ve seen a few of these (Les Mis specifically), I didn’t realise there was one done here anywhere in Australia, love it, well done all. 👏👏👏🇦🇺
Just look at the smiles on the faces of the shoppers! What a wonderful experience.
Great use of the escalator for on the spot marching... love it !
Love the smiles of joy on the people’s faces!
I have watched a number of flash performances from Les Mis. This up there with some of the best and, a special bonus, it is taking place in one of my favorite places in the world. I love Adelaide market.
My heart moves watching this, idk why i’m crying 😭
Absolutely astounding.Attendance to this musical should be made compulsory. I've seen it eight times now which is nothing. Some people have seen it scores of times. Go, it could change your life.
I can see this is an opera company; their voices are operatic. An excellent performance without a conductor. Every word was clear. I can see why these songs from Les Miz are so often performed and so performable.
Wow, just awesome. Well done State Opera of South Australia!!
Beautiful!!!! the songs, the voices, the place......everything. Thanks a lot for this!!!!
Just saw that others were crying watching this also when I was wondering why I was crying so hard afterwards. It’s just that powerful!
Is that lady coming down the escalator holding a baby singing like that, beautiful
Beautiful! Thank you Adelaide. This should be our world anthem. It made me cry.
this is amazing... as a les mis fan... no FREAK having watched it on broadway and in the west end over the years a total of over 12 times... I would have joined the cast -singing along in this flash mob.... wow I am singing along even now
that lady in the red was WAITING for this her whole life lmao
HA HA HA!!! Yes, I was! These guys are my friends, and it's always a privilege to sing the music of Les Mis. Can't believe people are still watching this so many years later. Just goes to show how much people LOVE this story and the incredible music. 🙂
This. More. More of this please!
OMG, I love this video! I've seen some comments discussing the woman in the white hat and scarf and red jacket. Some people said she was part of the cast. I don't think so because she's not miked. However, I do think she may have been a member of the company, who just happened to be there at that time. She was greeted warmly by several members of the cast, she knew all the words and there was no reservation about joining into the flash mob. Just my opinion. And yes, I get choked up too every time I watch it.
Love that lady skipping off the escalator!
I found this video sent it to my son from Belfast to Adelaide he said his sons Harry and Owen love this market! This video will put a smile on their wee faces 😊👏
The Music and Magic of Les Miserables at the Market. How Marvelous.
Great, Great, Great Best Wishes from Germany !!!
Amazing!! Hope we have this in the phil..
Beautiful voices... Beautiful city, i live there almost 2 years... Lovely city
This was amazing! So refreshing to see no masks wish we could go back to this one day!

My hubby is from Adelaide, this makes me so proud. It’s a beautiful city.
Absolutely beautiful. I've seen Les miserables on stage this fantastic in a market. ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Thank you
Music brings all creatures together…It’s the universal language.
I love seeing all the smiles on everyone’s faces
Cor blimey. I never thought the glums would cheer me up. Thank you.
Listen to that soprano in the red coat!
The lady in the red coat is a marvelous vocalist. She was spot on in every way until her last note. Unfortunately
She didn’t quite reach her highest challenging hurdle, but was amazing all the rest of the song. Thank you,
Adelaide. I love Australia and on our visit there found the folks we met to be wonderful. I will never forget
the many Australians on the beautiful train!!!!
Look at the pure joy on peoples faces. Absolute beauty. 👏👏 👏👏 ☺️☺️
Oh my goodness , what an absolute JOY to watch this. I would give my eye teeth to see this in person.
I'm literally in tears!
This video makes me feel very happy. From south Korea.
Tears and Goosebumps. That's it!
wow what a treat. Wish i was there to experience this
I am now so homesick for Adelaide. Thank you…..that was wonderful.
Wow!!! Amazing! My favorite Broadway show.
It gives us a greater feeling of being human. Beautiful! Bravo 👏. We need more much more of this.
Absolutely brilliant. What a joy for anyone who saw this. Love you all xxx
I can't get enough of watching this video 😍
Not sure why.. but this video brings tears to my eyes. They've truly brought music to ears of every one & every people. Bravo!!!!
We need MORE of this in our lives!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
These are amazing strong voices!
So, so good! Best place to do it too. The central markets was the best place to work in, there's always something happening. Bands used to jam there on Friday nights, and at Chinese new year it utterly goes OFF. Loved seeing some faces I remember from my time there
After the past 2 years of isolation and divisiveness over mandates, I found myself watching flash mobs etc. This is fantastic! Double edged sword though. We can't turn the world back and we have lost what we don't realize. 🙏
Well worded, Denise, and that loss is exactly what Les Miserables is about.
OMGosh. Watch this and try to remain unmoved. It won't happen. Superb.
I have listened to many, many versions & this is the best I have ever heard! Bravo! Brava!
Wow I know this market well. I am from New York but I lived in Glenelg for 14 months and shopped in the market many times. I wish I had been there for this performance. That's Australia for you a really remarkable country.
That was just amazing
It's been a long time since I've seen a large gathering of people together on social media and been inspired with love instead of dismay and despair
Absolutely magnificent. Amazing musical sung with such talent.
I cried. If I was there, I must be very excited and shout out loud. I love love love this !!
I’ve seen Liberty University’s performance of Les Miserable and it was a masterpiece
Liberty U?
Masterpiece?
Doubt it.
