Many Northern Michigan communities got their start by turning to the surrounding trees with a booming timber industry; but only one got its start by being completely underwater. This is the story of Beulah.

I read a book about the draining of the lake. Very interesting read. Thanks for the video. I'll be visiting Beulah again this summer. I hope the concerts will be back!

Grew up halfway between Maple City and lake Ann. If I ever get back up there I sure hope the Hungry Tummy is still serving pizza in Beulah

why can't we hear him talking we can hear everything else ?

His voice plays out of my headset's left speaker only, everything else out of the right side. If you plug in a headset into your computer you can probably hear his narration.
