The way you describe it makes sense with the excessive fuel trim. You also mentioned the "AIR" side of the equasion. I've seen your "one hour +" video about diagnosing not only fuel, but the AIR side also. Seeing the 5 Gas backs up the theory of operation. There's a lot going on here! I wish I had this training years ago. It would have made some of the repairs MUCH easier! Thank you Bernie.
Wow. The comment section on here is like an all star lineup of some of CZcams’s best automotive channels. Bernie you’ve gained a world of respect from some very respected folks. Thank you for teaching and presenting this style of diagnosis.
Great Video ... very good explained! And take your car to someone knowledgeable like yourself to diagnose these complex 4 wheel computers we drive nowadays!
Instead of dripping fuel all over the place, just remove the fuel relay and crank the engine or let it start and die, I do this all the time and there is barely any pressure in the system when disconnecting fuel lines.
Great fix . If you change " a bunch of parts " , you may , as this PROVES , add in ANOTHER problem that was NEVER there to begin with . Especially using low end WHITE BOX , NO NAME components . Verify EACH step in the repair . Thanks . But can you teach people how to think ?
Bernie, regarding this Volvo, the computer controls the fuel pressure based on the rail pressure sensor reading. It was nice that they still had the old sensor, but what if they did not? Could you have induced external voltage changes to the computer to get it to increase the fuel pump pressure? Could this test the computer's reaction with pressure control in relation to the rail pressure sensor voltages? I am just curious. Thanks so much for being here for us. I am learning a lot from you. Keep up the great work.
@@jwhiz3219 What happened to the replies here? That's a real interesting question, say, vary the voltage using an externally power potentiameter dial, worth about $2 at any electronics store. What was the answer?
??? How are you getting a fuel pressure reading with a scan tool (Is fuel going into the scan tool!!) that is connected to the fuel rail post? BTW I always see two thumbs down on Bernies videos... WT! Ah! Your using a pressure transducer! Getting a head of myself!
Great video and explanation Bernie :)

I knew what was wrong in the first two seconds. It's a Volvo with a custom carpet dash, lol. Great video, Bernie.

This is an excellent learning experience. Thank you!!
I love your diagnosis Equipment! Once again, always use OEM parts
Bernie this is awesome, great video. I love that escan I wish it was more affordable but it’s an excellent tool. You killed it! Great job.
Excellent Bernie, thanks again 👍

My eyes got real big watching that unexpectedly. This system makes it real easy to keep it clean
great video..i love that escan...looking foward to more videos
Great video! Thanks as always for sharing your knowledge Bernie.
Bernie, did you buy John Anello's Hummer or just borrow his idea ? Thank you for all the great videos, I may be moving back to the USA soon...........

Without experience you will just be playing "whack a mole". Time spent listening and watching the pros is time well spent.
This is a fantastic video, thanks for taking the time to make this and share it.
Great job!!!!!!! Love your teaching...... logic
Bernie brilliant logical thinking you are one hundred percent correct follow the data real time like the VE system
very good job and equipment........
Thank you. New subscriber and a very helpful video and nicely presented. Like I’ve always been taught do your homework first. Thank you Artie 👍
Kind of funny that the shop fixed the problem but added another lol never fixed a vehicle with old parts 🤷♂️👏👍
Great content as usual ..
I bet when this guy was younger he scored lots of trim.
Thanks for sharing Bernie... Cheers.

Alex Messina take the plug out and put ecu in default strategy. What’s the big deal?

Maybe incorrect sensor for a different vehicle or defective sensor
if the old fuel pressure sensor was good why the computer set a code
Question...
Does Escan supoort asian car?
Yes, as long as its OBD2. I use mine on Nissan's all the time.
👍
I am looking for some advice on my 2000 Volvo S80 Twin turbo. Code P1152 Thank you .
@@ghost1225081 Thank you!

You know you could just release the gas cap and not have all that gas come out the rail.
First,?
