The amount of soul in Burr's "No one else was in the room where it happened...", he was so patient but just wanted to be included in the decisions of his coworkers and friends. It makes sense how fed up he got about Hamilton's actions. Every performer shined so hard in this, I can't get enough!
honestly this musical made me really think about if people will remember me when i’m gone, and i realized that they probably won’t. but then i think about how alex was so focused on people remembering him, and his legacy living on that he ruined his life while he was still living. but there’s this line in the song “first burn” that says “when will you learn that they are your legacy, we are your legacy..?” and that makes me think about how you don’t have to be famous to be remembered, as long as there are people who care about you, your story will live on.
This shows the difference between Burr / Jefferson & Madison. Jef and Mad kept their word despite their differences. Al saw Burr as a friend but he did not keep his word of not telling a soul what he heard despite their previous comradery/bond. I see why Alex voted for Jefferson instead of Burr the more I pay attention to the musical.

Historically, it makes sense Thomas Jefferson kept his word about keeping the affair secret cause he was doing the same thing with his slaves (if anything, he was likely more disappointed with the real reason probably thinking something like "A sex affair? THAT'S all that it was?").

I get that this song is supposed to be serious since Hamilton is revealing to his enemies that he cheated on his wife. But I have to keep myself from laughing because when I hear this song, all I can think of is "We Know But Madison is Slowly Dying".
