The level of musicianship of these two men is incredible. Tommy is Australian, Richard is English playing to an American audience…and me a Canadian appreciating very much. Chet Atkins was unique, so was Jerry Reed. Together they were magical! That last piece had me tearing up😭

I attended their guitar camp this past September. Lessons and non stop guitar. Richard and Tommy both say there are not short cuts. Just hard work. Richard in particular drove that point home.
Listening to these two makes me so happy. That there is this much talent in the world just amazes me. Once upon a time I got guitar lessons from Tommy as he was a friend of mine and believe it or not, he played drums in my band. He can play anything! I wanted to be a great guitarist like Tommy but the gig was already taken. I didn’t have it in me to play for 16 hours a day which is what it requires. I branched into songwriting and singing and I love all three. I don’t hang out with Tommy any more but I love to hear him play, especially when he plays with Richard.
Two of the very best -- you'll do yourself a big favor going to see these two in person - being there with a great sound system is incredible. Check out Richard Smith doing "The Entertainer" and Tommy - well, there's not much more that can be said for him -- if Chet Atkins gave him the Certified Guitar Player honor enough said. Thanks Guys!
"Serenade to Summetime", I learned this song from an 8 track in the 70s, which I still have. It still brings a tear when I hear it as it was one of my Dads favorites. Thank you so much. I love you guys!!

Richard performed with Chet when he was only 11 years old. If Chet had lived long enough, Richard would have gotten the CGP award from Chet.
The fact they can kick back and enjoy themselves while playing to a level that's literally only dozens on earth... amazing.
