5 years latter and he still hasn't answered the question of the talk.
And the answer is within this talk, he just doesn't notice.
Even with luther, why does luther changes his mind 20 years later?
Luther doesn't directly tell, but the answer is there...
He was a nobody when he started, he wasn't at the end, it's literally because of debt.

I'm gonna tell you, jews have never been known much for gangs of robbers.
So what is luther really saying?
Why is his solution basically robbing jews?
What does that tell about his real motivation for switching?

Great lecture, but he shouldn't be comparing hatred of Jews, with blocking illegal immigrants. There is nothing wrong with having a strictly-enforced immigration system, where immigrants are accepted or rejected based on their merits and usefulness to the country, and based on officially established quotas - and not based on some people's enthusiasm for crossing borders illegally. Rejecting aspiring immigrants is not equivalent to sending them to the gas chambers.

I wish he would have also discussed the secular form of antisemitism that has come from the far left of the political spectrum and he also doesn't clearly portray how media and certain messages were cleverly exploited in modern history to create a specific image of the Jews that builds on old tropes, but have taken on new forms.

Powerful content brother but if I were you I would put more emphasis on the the fact that even you, not just 'Americans' or 'Germans' can dangerously tread into righteousness and bigotry. Any one of us. And there is no doubt in my mind that the most righteous can and will do the most damage. The Bible itself has been edited many times for the reasons that seem clear in hindsight now and are worth discussing and not omitting for the sake of what we can learn about ourselves. Understanding the difference between viewing people on the level of the group vs the individual is as profound as is the lesson of forgiveness and responsibility. The responsibility to try our best with compassion to understand both history and our own nature's of tribalism.

This was Churchill’s attack on those movements among Jews that were Communist in nature.
Churchill was VERY anti-Communist. He wasn’t claiming that Jews run the world in a vast conspiracy.
Furthermore, even if he had said something more like that, it wouldn’t mean much during the greatest swell of international anti-semitism in modern history.
Lastly, it’s weird for people to say “The Jews are turning us all into Socialists”
And also say “The Jews control everything through capitalist enterprise.”
These are obviously two opposing forces. Not to mention that the facts don’t substantiate either of these narratives.

    • @briandfox16
      @briandfox16 Před 9 měsíci

That's your mythology. Credible historians, like Bart Ehrman conclude that NO JEWs had anything to do with the killing of Jesus.
No credible historian takes the position that Pilate had any reservations about killing anyone.
The gospel accounts were written to appease the Romans because the Romans had all the power. Rome became the first to adopt Christianity and could not tolerate a text that condemns them for killing God.
That being said that God (Jesus) was 100% Jewish. All of Jesus Disciples were Jewish. All of his initial followers were Jewish.
But, the Jews were condemned for killing the son of God in spite of the extreme unlikely hood of them killing or betraying Jesus, as a People.
