  • This is for those Tundra models from the SouthEast Toyota region that do not have a factory system, but a Dealer or Port installed security system. FCC on back of remote: ELVATDD
Remotes (fobs) are easily found on eBay or Amazon.
OEM Toyota Dealer Installed Keyless Entry Remote Fob (FCC ID: ELVATDD / ELVAT1B) www.amazon.com/dp/B01K5XMQEO/...
Edit: seems like this method works for any Toyota vehicle with ELVATDD fobs.
Edit 2: seems like the fobs are sold out in that link

I just tried this on my 2008 Toyota Corolla with a replacement ELVATDD remote key fob that I ordered and received today and IT WORKED. The documentation from the place that I ordered it from said that I would have to take it to a dealership or locksmith in order to program it to the car. This is the only video that I have found thus far that shows how to do it for the ELVATDD and my vehicle. Thank you for passing on the knowledge.

Awesome!! I dug through a lot of forums and someone somewhere mentioned it, so I made the video. Glad it helped!

I have a 2006 tundra that I just bought used and it came with 1 fob but it is so worn that you can't see the fcc # . How do I get the fcc #. This truck has a blue light for security under the driver side dash.

Does this have to be done with the original Toyota key for it to work? I have a 2006 double cab Tundra and have tried everything with no luck. The only thing I can think I’m missing is that I don’t have the original ignition key. Anyone know?

No, i did it with a Home Depot non-chip copy key

Just make sure that your remote looks like the one on the thumbnail and that it says ELVATDD on the back … if it says something else then there’s a different sequence

Imma try this to activate the key fob!! Thank you
