  • Today on the smallholding I will be harvesting a few of my Jerusalem Artichokes to see how well they did after being moved to the no dig garden.
Jerusalem Artichokes are a fantastic addition to the perennial self-sufficient garden and food forest. Potentially providing large crops of delicious tubers, which are ideal for the homesteader/smallholder/prepper and to survive a zombie apocalypse 😊 Although be warned they may make you a little bit windy.

How do you cook your fartichokes to stop their reprocushions?

I haven’t found a way to stop the wind 😆 but they don’t give me a bad stomach like some people find
I mostly roast or stir fry them haven’t tried mash yet but will do soon I think
