I come and watch these from time to time...
It feels like visiting an old friend..
RIP Tony!
Up your meds perhaps? And go try your kind words on your loved ones who are alive and who you actually know nugget

9:17 Tony, after playing soccer with a pigs bladder, walking in the sunshine with a rainbow behind him, looking so happy… I hope he’s still there in a certain kind of way. What a fantastic day. RIP Tony. We miss you.
I still don't know what he was having at the end of the show that made him so unpleasant.
I'm with you. He was/is my cooking hero.
Anthony helped me through my dark times and addictions. Through the television I traveled with with him allowing me to escape the pain of coming off substances. He was like the cool uncle truly part of the family.
Me too. Nothing like being transported away for a brief period of time during DT's eh?
@@davemartin6452 yesssirrr lol
Amen. The world would have another flavor with him. Might as well live.
Same man, his death was the only time i ever cried for a famous person. He was a fellow cook, foodie, jiujitero and just all around normal dude trying to get a drink.
Fun to see how his abilities as a presenter develop from episode to episode
Is anyone else as obsessed as I am with this mind?
I really miss this guy, especially in these strange times...
It’s adorable seeing Tony witness his first live animal killing when one knows the final score by the end of Parts Unknown. Like, a decade later, he’ll be smothering a little white goat for the Māori. Life is crazy.
My grandfather was born 1913 in Alabama. They also used the pig bladder as a ball. This is why the American football is called a ‘pig skin.’
True fact
I miss this man so much
The accordion player looks like Hardy from Laurel and Hardy 😳🤣
The biggest thing I'm learning watching through this series so far is that Americans are missing out in terms of family-style dishes. While going out as a group is common, sharing a large dish for the group is practically nonexistent. Every culture I've seen so far focuses on a meal as a group activity and event, and it seems like so much more fun to enjoy a meal as a group than the per-person paradigm of American cuisine.
Yes. I'm German
Not in my family, lol.
you're making a pretty big generalization...
Depends on what part of the country you are in. In the South we have a lot of restaurants that serve 'family style'. They bring out huge portions for the table to share. We do it at home all the time, but it is nice to go out as a family too. 😎
@@TitoTimTravels you're right, but it's not the *norm*, which is what I was trying to say with my original post.
A thoroughly decent human being who is so very sadly missed. I am so sorry you couldn’t speak to someone about how you were feeling before you left us. God bless, sleep well Mr Bourdain. “ They never really die those that live on in the memories of those that are left behind “
Nothing superficial about this guy, he told it like it was. Rest In Peace Tony, you were the man!
Just miss this guy. I have a collection of his DVD's with all of this earlier stuff. I will keep them and hand them down. They are a treasure just like Anthony !!! How I wish we could turn back time and save him !!!!
was introduced to him thru wifey reading his book and it was at the time so mind blowing about the "insider" info of a chef.
He is weak minded
And you’re forget able
@@billysunday7507 you seem weak yourself
@UCGKymieE7omFcGyVmfoaLMw he had more Strength in One Hand than you have in your entire Life.
May he Rest In Peace
no matter where he was, he always spoke of the locals and the country with respect - miss ya Tony
THIS. This was the 1st chapter from the book A Cook's Tour. Now I finally know WHERE FOOD COMES FROM.
RIP Tony
Dude the back tracks in this show have no business going so hard🤣🔥
Tony in his prime is a wonderful thing
He made such an important contribution. RIP chef.
With this show i feel like he is happy
No Reservations however, i feel like the man was depressed
I personally blame CNN for making Tony end himself
@@MyHentaiGirl Why CNN?
@@MyHentaiGirl No Reservations wasn't on CNN....
@@MyHentaiGirl youre thinking parts unknown. all are great, no reservations is excellent
Anthony a great guy who loved Portugal & Portugal loved him dearly to ,. Eating great food accompanied with great wine surrounded by great people in a great country... a recipe for a great episode.,.,. Anthony you were one of Portugal's adopted sons, you were gone to - to soon my brother :(
It’s 2021 and here I am still watching all these videos of AB.
2022 here and forever
"No, there is no vegetarians here"- I already like the video. And people look normal too.
You are missed and loved.....
So this is the episode that trained Tony to become a bottomless pit. LOL. It's amusing how much he can eat and he meets his competition in Portugal. Also it was amusing to see Tony meet his drinking competition in Vietnam when he takes shots of homebrewed rice wine, or rice whiskey I think it was. RIP Tony B.
What a beautiful country🇵🇹
So my favourite soup is also his favourite soup.. caldo verde! no wonder this Man was the one who teached us what BDE means!!!
What does BDE mean?
Thousands of candles can be lit from a single, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
Always good to see when he was happy with his brother...unique.
The best thing I ate in Portugal was "Cabrito".
Rotisserie baby goat.
To this day, I can still smell it and taste it.
What we call - Food to Travel for...
Just discovered Anthony bourdain and have consumed like all his content + kitchen confidential in a week. Love him
Welcome to the good stuff😄
If you have never read his books, they're worth a read as well.
I miss him so much
Tony had a really strong connection with Portugal...
If only the world could hear the cry’s of those who shed their tears alone if only those tears hadn’t fallen in solitude hidden from anyone who could catch them if only the world didn’t rain so hard on the souls who feel the drops like anvils maybe if that last cry for something to hold onto wasn’t spoken in a room of disinterested smiles there could be another adventure with you
Just love him there will be no one like him EVER
Se te extraña Anthony!!!
Never knew Anthony Bourdain and Happy Gilmore both had the same boss lol.
I visited Arcachon several times and loved it every time. The people, the food, the views : outstanding!!!!!
Can't believe there is something that made me miss my ex mother in law.
An AMAZING Portuguese cook!
If you haven't eaten real Portuguese food, it's a must.
It's one of the best cuisines in the world but gets no love because Americans don't value it.
@@cdb5001 I think it’s less that we don’t value it and more so that there just isn’t really a large Portuguese diaspora in the USA. I’m sure people would love it if it was available.
@@KnivingDispodia these is a significant diaspasora, but unlike the Italians who sell you the sizzle and not the stake, we're very humble and quiet about our own great cuisine.
@@cdb5001 Speaking as an Italian American from the west coast, I have never once encountered a Portuguese person in my life. The closest thing is my Brazilian brother in law haha. I’m sure you guys are out there, just keepin your heads down.
@@KnivingDispodia not a lot of us out there, aside from Napa Valley (go figure, where there's wine, there's Portuguese).
Most of us are out in Mass, Penn, and NY as well as Canada.
Always enjoyed just listening to Anthony, didn't even have to watch although I did. I am revisiting his videos now. Thank you for providing them for us to enjoy. When I read Anthony's books I heard his voice. Such a loss. I still refuse to believe he took his own life. He was too crazy about his daughter, maybe one day I will know for sure. RIP Tony may god keep and hold you.
I’m reading Kitchen Confidential now and it’s impossible not to hear Anthony’s voice. Truly a well lived life, yet still such a great loss.
Mr Bourdain, wherever u r - thank you for bringing the world of cuisine to us. You are so dearly missed. Did you leave the bag of food under the table? That would have been hilarious 😁
I love these! Thank you travel channel, it's a wonderful way to keep Bourdains memory alive. Makes me smile :)
Glad you're enjoying GoTraveler. Check out the full series on CZcams or GoTraveler.com
Thanks for the upload!
Miss him very much
Probably cooking for the angels in heaven ❤
The red-haired lady in the blue glasses is Anthony's first wife, Nancy. She is also in the other Portugal episode and the San Sebastian episode.
And apparently she was a bump on a log.
@@Orenoryori what does that mean?
@@foggycraw6758 She didn’t do anything; she wouldn’t work despite being well-educated. I think he briefly touches on it in Medium Raw.
@@Orenoryori Maybe if he would have stayed with her he would still be here.
I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.
For years I watched Tony, lusting after his physical appearance, but also for his insight into what life was about. So happy there are still videos to watch and cookbooks to purchase.
I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.
Them playing football with the pigs bladder cracks me up😂
lol my dads childhood in portugal

"Theirs NO vegetarian's here." Amen to THAT!
They should have had a show called No Vegetarians instead of No Reservations.
@@taotao98103
Nice!
People getting triggered by vegetarians. It's like people feel insecure about their preference for meat.
@@jeanlundi2141
Insecure about their meat? I don't think so. I speak for myself in this. Vegetarians are like religious fundamentalist. They feel entitled to be the chosen ones. They 'sound' entitled. There's more, but that's why we're triggered by Vegetarians.
@@razony Give me a freakin break. There are vegetarians of all kinds, just like eat meaters. Don't be stupid. You sound like a child.
There ARE some vegetarian that sound like religious fundamentalists, but it only triggers YOU personally, because it bothers you. I faced those same people and I don't bring them up in my mind all the time, all think all vegetarians are like that. I also have had many vegetarians friends that were not like that, if you haven't and can't conceived of them you are just an intelectual pleb.
Prarie oysters... Yum
Binge worthy!
Aaaaa what a beautiful way to kill pork, just like we do down in my ranch in Mexico
Agreed, just like I'm doing now.
💯
Work for something because it is good, not just because it stands a chance to succeed.
Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow.
Good call not showing the chapter where Tony and Chris went back to the French village of their childhood, their old house, recreating Tony's oyster epiphany, the Dune de Pilat, in the end, it was more of a personal experience as the Bourdain siblings realized that they weren't searching for their childhood but rather, their father.
9:10 nice Rainbow
18:30 grabish ?
I paused the program and went to Amazon to buy some duck rillettes.
00:40 if he just remembered that ! he would still be here :(
god I miss him
I always wanted to take a bite out of a procutto ham . I had a job making tapas food I realized that this is the defence of the ham it's to hard just to bite and prevents you from eating the whole ham .
That Portuguese guy owns the New York City, Manhattan, restaurant where he worked. He's loaded, and killing a pig in his backyard. And eating Culdo Verde which is just kale mushed up potatoes and just a piece of meat for some flavor. He has the typical drunk accordian player playing in the key of A double flat glass of brandy. and using a pig bladder to play soccer on a dirt driveway. Think about how much a dinner in manhatten costs. That's a rich dude in Portugal.
the chef didnt suspect a thing because he is french, so of course his dish is the best thing tony has ever put in his mouth
So from what I can tell Portugal is when happens when Italy and Spain have a kid
@@inespinto1990 just a joke my man
In what way? Actually Portugal is one of the oldest countries in Europe. So much older than Italy or Spain.
12:23 Real John Lennon is alive and eating pork ears in some random farm of Portugal
Thats a rich man right there
👍
I wonder what happened to the food he tucked away?
Im sorry that the darkness consumed you. Rip. U are missed

Does anyone else think his brother looks like Spock? At least a Volcan?
How much Tony's brother must miss him. Everyone still asks why Tony. Why?
I would eat all of the Linguiça and get yelled at just like home.
Hit me with your pet shark!
Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err.
I only watched the part about Portugal, don't care about the rest tbh
The part where he hangs with his brother some more?
Rest in peace...I'm sad that he took his life because of his girlfriend...
He didn't. He had struggled with depression for most of his life and he and his gf had an open relationship because Anthony traveled 270 days a year and she had her own career and wasn't always able to go with him. So they each saw other people but enjoyed the time they had together when they were able to.
Went to soon... could you not abided with us if not for just a little while. We could have used your voice in this unforgiving time of madness 😠.
Forget Tony, learn to eat, respect food and don't waste nothing. That is the most important lesson.
I am not a butcher but have had the experience of butchering a few live chickens. Before giving the kill cut, I always said a little prayer thanking them for their sacrifice and making a promise to myself that the life I'm going to take would not be in vain, that it would sustain everyone and nothing will go to waste. I am not a religious person, I am an atheist at best. I just respect all lifeforms, even those in the bottom of the food chain.
These ducks do have some 'sort' of fatty liver syndrome!
Cobra heart anyone????👀
A Cuban roast the whole thing
French women are beautiful @16:33 , that's why I married one
Don't look back. Something might be gaining on you.
ok, the food on this one can kill you from cholesterol
The informational intermission from The Boondocks episode about soul food should play at some point during this.
What brakes my heart is I am just now learning about him and his life in this day and age that I feel as if I can not trust what I hear or see . The creater of the new movie about A B life admitted that he put 10 hours of AB s voice into the computer to make AB say something he wanted his voice to have said . So I feel angry .
Why are his nails cut into points? Creepy
@11:11
what's "creepy" is you seeing something that really isn't there...
