My orange Siberian boy acts the exact same way! Though he doesn’t like climbing much but he does everything else. My favorite thing is when I give him gentle hugs, he sighs through his nose 😆 he cuddles with me every night 💕

My Lev is a dark gray tabby Siberian, and has the same beautiful face as Leo. His little brother is a Tabby point Neva Masquerade, and is about the same size as Leo. Lev is huge, and they both are both crazy and adorable.

OMG your kitty is identical to my baby except she’s a girl and was born last May. That is crazy, same eyes, color patterns, big bushy tail, and those black inner paws. She is also a jumper just like they must be somehow related ❤

We have a beautiful grey female siberian cat. We call her Margo. My family and I have been debating on getting her a collar or something to take her on walks cause she loves going outside so much
She sounds beautiful! I think its a great idea to get a collar for her and take her on walks. She'll eventually learn how to walk with you outside just like how dogs do. Then you can take her anywhere. It's such a great bonding experience too! -=)

I have a cat that looks exactly like yours. Eye color & all. Soooo beautiful! The chirping, the companionship, the beauty and adorable ness, even walking on a leash! I think I have a Siberian! Ra was given to me & she said he is Ragamuffin but I'm thinking differently now. I'm not getting him or my other cat, Baset neutered until absolutely necessary. They are 6 months and doing fine on Melatonin. Great video.
Ragamuffins and Siberians behave and look very similar. I don't blame anyone for the confusion. I think I got Leo neutered around 6 months. He likes to chirp too! Ra sounds like a beautiful cat!

Я живу на Урале. И тоже завёл себе котёнка Сибирской породы (хотя нет документов подтверждающих породу) Но он выглядит точно также, плюс у него прям из ушей торчит шерсть. Мне очень нравится его характер, лучше кота и не найти. Плюс он умнее обычных кошек.

I have 2 siberian cats, the male is smoke coloured Siberian while the female is Neva Masquerade siberian. My male siberian personality is similar like your cat, needy, affectionate and baby-like spoiled, while the female is more chirpy, active and more jealous, they are both equally affectionate and highly intelligent too. They both always fight with each other to get my attention, as they both wants to be near me and it gets terrotorial real quick, it can get pretty rough and I had to break it up all the time lol, its like siblings rivalry fights and they will slap each other faces not those ferocious out to kill you type fights. But most of the time(90% of the time), they do get along with each other, tolerates each other, sleeps with each other and even play hide and chase with each other around the house. Its normal multiple cats household behaviour, they not going to get along and agree over everything all the time, kinda like humans.

i can relate to this video so much! i have a fluffy grey Siberian that has the same temperament and acts the same way. i love him so much. he is like a little fluffy dog. when you mention other people thinking its weird to see him being walked but think its cute at the same time. i can relate. does leo like water or ever gone swimming?
That's wonderful to hear. They are the greatest, sweetest little animals ever! Leo actually doesn't like water. The only way he let's me give him a bath is if I'm sitting in the bathtub with him LOL Does your cat like water? I think it's so cute when cats like water and they go swimming.

I ended up with two feral kittens. The mom was feral and a tortoise shell, the grandma was kinda feral and a tuxedo cat. The kittens were left in my backyard something happened to mom, we think coyote. Anyways one cat is an orange tabby and my other I thought was a Long haired Torbie.......NOPE.....just figured out what I have is a Siberian as well. She has a bit of the orange flecking from mom and the most beautiful teal blue eyes that models would love to have. When she was a wild kitten in my yard I thought she was a boy so I named her Pirate, finding out later both her and her sister are females. But she sports the typical Siberian attitude to a T. I love that she talks back. She is similar to your cat. I noticed as well big water drinker too. She sheds her coat periodically. We let our ferals out and let them in when they want. There is a big sump where all the wild animals go so we think the cats hang out there and potty over there. This June will be the big 5 year birthdays.

I know this video is a few years old but just to let you know that cats climbing on cars can cause scratches on the paint, I have a friend who does bodywork on cars as it's something that happen (I think they also looooove the heat coming from the cars) 😅

How much do Siberian cats shed ?
I am looking into getting one but after some research I am confused.. , some sources claim these cats don’t shed much and would be fine with less brushing while other sources claim your house will be covered in fur and they require daily grooming
I don’t think I can manage a kitty that sheds too much because I am a college student who will regularly have to go to take classes and come home and study which takes up a lot of my time.
I will spend time with the cat and give it the attention and care it requires while at home, I am willing to brush the cat and everything but too much shedding might not be something I can cope with and clean everyday
I was wondering whether the cat is too high maintenance and wouldn’t be suitable with my routine
I just want to make sure I can attend to the cats needs before I decide on getting one
Our family has a British shorthair cat, her shedding is mostly managed with brushing her which us amazing but she doesn’t really like to be held and cuddled , she comes whenever she wants and likes to sit beside me just doesnt want cuddles or too much love. shes very independent and easy to take care for but since I moved out I have been feeling lonely and want to get a cat of my own thus Im doing research, I now wanted a cat which likes more attention and cuddles since British shorthair are known to be more independent but I am confused since British shorthair are low maintenance and shed less and stuff and I was wondering whether I could properly care for a different breed perhaps
So I have been researching on the cats care and shedding etc
Any insight or advice will be very helpful from an experienced person
In my experience, my Siberian doesn't shed much at all. I only brush him after I take him on a walk outside to get off any leaves or dirt that may be on his fur. I brush him maybe once a week just to keep his coat nice. He also loves being brushed so doubles as bonding time with him. He is really great with grooming himself. Siberians typically are very loving and like attention from their humans -=)

How do you get him to relax at night? I just got a kitten and she is only 12 weeks, I tried having her in bed with me but she just jumps around like crazy everywhere in the room. My daughter sleeps in there too so it just dosent work out. She loves sleeping on top of me in the evening and we play almost all day so you would think she was tired. Is it just because she is still a baby or cats just like to stay up most of the night
It's because she's still a kitten. They have a lot of energy when they are kittens. Leo used to roam around the house and play with everything. He's 10 years old now, so he likes to lounge around and cuddle all the time. He still plays for a small part of the day, but he mostly likes to relax. Your kitty will start to calm down once she gets a little older.

I just bought a Siberian kitten and she will be ready to come home in March. Would you say it’s better to have two or one?
It depends on what's best for your lifestyle. Personally, Leo has been my only cat/pet for 12 years now and he's very happy and content. I believe that cats can be happy with being a single cat or having cat siblings. It all depend on how much you can handle. 🥰❤️

My jaw dropped open a number of times because she looks just like him from certain angles, like when he flopped down on the floor toward the end. And she sleeps on my left hip every night😁
Does Leo do OK on your hard flooring? We just moved a couple months ago and the new place has hard flooring and she has never been around it before. She hurt herself on the very first day and had a limp for six weeks, bad sprain the vet said. I hope she gets used to the floor. I have put runners down all over, and she walks on them. Anyway thank you for the video, I see there’s a part two so I’m going to watch it now😊👋🏼
I loved that your cat watched with you! Leo does the same when I put on a video with cats in it. Haha! Leo actually grew up in a house with hard floors so he is used to it. This new house has carpet and he LOVED it when we first moved here. He was rolling around the carpet and running at full speed. LOL!!

hello! I apologize this is such a late comment to the video lol, do you think a Siberian can do well in a small house? I may be getting a Siberian soon (still doing my research, have been researching for a few months now), but we have a small house so I’m a bit worried if that’ll be any trouble even though I’d spend lots of time and playtime with them everyday? We have a two year old german shepherd and she’s happy, but I still want to make sure. Thanks :)
I don't think the size of your house matters, only the amount of love you give -=) . I'm excited for you! I love German Shepherds! I grew up with a german shepherd and my brother currently has one. They are so smart!

Leo doesn't really shed too much. He only sheds crazy when he gets nervous/anxious (For example, during vet visits when he's anxious.).

I have a Siberian as well and He drinks a ton of water lol. Does yours ever regurgitate after eating or drinking too quickly?? Dexter aka mine, loves to inhale his food/water and tends to bring it back up not 2 min after unless I feed him slowly for every meal, which is what I do now.
Leo used to regurgitate after eating when he was a kitten. He couldn't regulate the speed and amount of food he took in. It's actually common in a lot of cats. You just have to portion control and slowly teach them to eat slower. Now that Leo is older, it still happens from time to time, but a lot less.

Yeah that's exactly what I have been doing and it seems to work well for awhile but then randomly he'll have a day where he brings it back up like 3 times in a row. So I have to be super super careful with both food and water but then also not forget to fill things like water through out the day. I have a bowl that has ridges in it that helps slow him down but hes just inhales anything I put down haha.

Do they shed a lot? How do you deal with the fur when the molt?
Leo doesn't shed a lot. He's really good at cleaning himself and I can get away with vacuuming once a week (although I prefer to vacuum more frequently). The only time he sheds like crazy is if he is anxious, like when he goes to the vet.
How does he react to you picking him up?
He always lets me pick him up. Every now and then, he may be a bit cranky and won't let me, but most of the time, he loves it. haha

Sometimes, yes! I cut the fur around his booty so it doesn't get stuck. Definitely works! 😹
