Geoffrey Thomson stewardship was the parks golden era. It's gradually gone into decline under Amanda.
every time i go to the pleasure beach i HAVE to rewatch this video, i love it!!!!
This is very interesting. I worked at BPB from 1967 to 70. It was a fantastic place to work. Loved it there. ilona
I lived in Blackppol as a child, in the 70s. I spent many hours at the pleasure beach- fond memeories of the wild mouse, the funhouse, Alice in Wonderland, and the Derby..A wonderful video, thank you !
Great Video Craig, really enjoyed watching this, in fact I cant remember when I watched a CZcams Video for over 50 minutes 👍, so many great rides that I had completely forgotten about, I definitely have to visit this year now, Hope your 2020 is going well 🤩👍🤗
Awesome my family would love this! Happy new year!🙂
I've never. Been to Blackpool but would love to go one day with the kids
Have you been there yet?
I was just there today, a lot of the buildings are run down and a lot of businesses shut. Quite sad to see.
Pleasure beach is my home park and I will always love it :)
This was brilliant! A great homage to my favourite park
Great video, worked there for 3 year while at Uni, learned a lot of the history just before joining and visited loads as a kid ..
Hi again TCR, just watched this, it is excellent, well done very informative and interesting. I am Australian but am very familiar with Blackpool as it has featured in numerous TV shows and documentaries. Really enjoyed this thanks for sharing x
thanks for watching ang glad you liked it , we are back there Feb 15th for opening day of the UK season so if you like bloackpool we will be vlogging it.
Them drone shots of the big one are beautiful 🤩
Great vid! I'm going there on the 18th of this month and can't wait! It'll be our 6th time visiting!
I remember when the grand prix used petrol powered cars
Little TR7’s weren’t they? Remember the little engines battering away👍🏻
Can still smell them 😂. Went on them many times
That was very informative great share
Huge congratulations on a fantastic history of BPB 👏👍
Wow what a lot of info, great video.
Maxim ride was in Idora Park in Ohio! The one there had the rudders, so riders could slightly alter the path of their 'rocket.' Idora Park had been gone a long time, I think it was a fire. I'm enjoying the channel play through.
Watched this a while back but I'm rewatching it because it's great
thank you , glad you enjoyed it 👍👍👍
My first job at Conneaut Lake Park was operating "The Whip". The metal floor was covered with grease. Kids slipped and fell on the regular. Good Times!
Grand Prix, which has just been closed, was initially the Turnpike with petrol driven cars. Excellent video. Just a shame the management seem to have dropped the ball right now with rides closing and footfall drastically down.
Just watched this was really good I noticed your two sons on grand national as well wish you still did your vlogs.
Brilliant telling of the history 🌟
thank you Aimee , glad you enjoyed it :)
Really enjoyed that.
Glad you enjoyed it
Yes history is it so amazing ❤

I have a piece of the big one track!! I love it xxx
I remember when you bought a book of tickets for the rides they we're divided into A B C D rides etc. A being the big rides then once u had used all your tickets u couldn't go on again unless you bought another book
Dallas county scratcher sent me..👍👍cool..
Wonderful video on my favorite place thanks 👍
Can you tell me is the monorail track still in the park and why was the ride taken away ?
I love amusement parks. I’d love to visit it sometime. I’m DJ Storms. Hoping to remain a part of your family. Best of luck with everything. 🙏🏻
Amazing video
Thanks for the visit
@@OnTheGroundsUK I can watch this alot
Am a big baby when i it comes to rides. Dont do hights. But my step son would love them man. i have never been there myself
I can only think of the Astro Whirl you have missed off. Other than that great vid. Thanks
Wild Mouse closed 2017 for future development and rides. We are still waiting.
Subbed and rung bell
just showing the supported from Blood x
can make a video on the history of both butlins and Drayton manor please.
The Big Dipper had a fire in 1953 and the Funhouse got destroyed by a fire and the fire made the house close in 1991
the fun house was a fave of ours
@@neilservice1093 I have fond memories of having stockingfeet in the Fun House, was my favourite amusement in Blackpool. I can't believe it is 30 years since it was accidentally or deliberately destroyed by fire and sadly not rebuilt.
Manda Thompson looked pretty fit in her day
Yes, Amanda did and still is fit
Shame i cant take my kids there due to the ridiculous pricing structure. As a kid my mum took us there and we spent what money we had specifically on what we wanted. 2 adults and a kid is now about 80 quid. And since when did 12 year old become adults. Shame on them.
wow! is that a roller coaster ride?
Which ride
Most of the stuffs still there.
I do not know how I missed this peaceful video, but I am glad that God has revealed it to me right now! Again, I cannot praise the Lord enough. I thank God for manifesting Himself through your creativity! You are truly anointed! This is just what I needed to see today! Thumbs up from me!
I think Leonard Thompsons birth year is wrong. If he became manager in 1929 that would have made him 14 at the time.
Thay what to much money 49pounds is to much for me I cart even have a walk around in there its so boring go to Blackpool know o well can't do anything thay now
doesn't even play properly
Your the first out of 9.5k to say so, so perhaps it’s more likely your internet
