“The concept behind this piece is how passions start as something perceived to be fun. Currently, I am an architecture student. Just recently we had our freshmen week and by sharing my stories as a facilitator with them, I was able to reminisce how enjoyable my first days in college were. I continued loving the course since then. In relevance to my dance identity, however, this was not the case. I found myself losing the connection between how my mind thinks and how my body moves in the past days, but of course, I do not want to lose this connection. So in parallel with the reminder from my recent experience in the freshmen week, I wanted to showcase the fun-ness I felt when I started dancing. I present to you my choreography to the jazzy-electronic song by Masego -- "Girls That Dance". Enjoy!”
