Saving the Best Till Last!

- The last day of our north Wales bouldering trip and we headed to Moel Y Gest near Porthmadog, to find some nice shady bouldering and to find Cruiser Weight. I had seen a few photo's on Instagram and thought it looked like a great problem. It seems to be given a bit of spread of grades depending on the guide, ranging from 7B - 7C. What ever the grade, it is a great boulder and definitely the best I have climbed this year.

Ah ha another secret location I used many many years ago,, and yes hard to find ( well done on that). Next time I see you I will give you a rough guide to Welsh pronunciation ( my children were fluent at one point). I lived in a little place called Prenteg not far away from where you are now. Try along the road to Garreg or from if coming from the other way ( find Tan-lan) along the A4085, small parking area on a tight corner after the longer straight bit, you will see the crag as you approach,, hop over wall great overhanging bouldering area and climbs too. Worth a visit and won't get traffic either. ( though the parking bay will go early, or late).
