Tbh this whole situation really was well played bc i can see both sides.
First of all, i see nothing wrong at all with Mahiru accepting Kano's mom's offer....EXCEPT for the timing. She REALLY shouldn't have prioritized this over her own group. More so if they already were with everything planned....this was Mahiru's mistake imo. But aside from that, the problem with Kano's mom IS WITH KANO, not with Mahiru. I'm not the biggest fan of "my friend doesn't like you so i won't like you either" thing....relationships are between individuals.
But now to both sides. Ok, hear me out: Kano does have reasons to not trust and not liking her mother and the Sundolls, and tbh it's easy to empathize with her since she was disliked from the beginning by the other girls bc of her superior talent. So Kano punching the girl was......KINDA understandable, but now i have to talk about the other side.
Ok, first of all: i understand if Kano was mad at Mahiru bc of the timing she decided to the take the mom's offer, but i wouldn't support her if she simply as mad at Mahiru bc she took the offer...like i said above, Kano HERSELF has problems with the mom...Mahiru has nothing to do with that.
Also, i have to say: the girl who had the account.....i really don't think she deserved to be punched. It takes A LOT to someone to deserve to be punched imo....Kano took the violence route and she had to deal with the consequences later. Also, i don't think (imo) that the girl had THAT many problems with Kano tbh...we saw how she treated Kano in the beginning and saw she didn't like her, but aside from that, we didn't see any flashback moments of that girl bullying Kano, for example, so i'll assume it wasn't THAT bad and that girl didn't do that to damage Kano (about the account thing).
Also, we don't know if Kano's mom KNEW about the account...i don't wanna make assumption, but if she didn't, she has no blame in this part for me.
And let's be honest: Japan's OWN CULTURE about "idolizing their idols" (sorry for the redudance) is their own fault. Just see how we are in west here 😂 if one day a famous singer / actor gets into a scandal, we'll be like "...oh....ok...moving on" LMAO so the idols got caught smoking.....SO WHAT? The girl (channel's owner) knew how the idol's world works, so she really was playing dirty, you know why? Bc it works. If no one cared about how idols are not perfect, her videos would never had got popular.
Anyway....i kinda see more of Mahiru's side in this, BUT she should NEVER had accepted the offer if this was overlap her own agenda with her own group.

Completely well said, emotions make us not want to side with Kano's mother but at the end of the day it is Mahirus decision and I still thank a good conversation with Kano would've made the aftermath a little easier. It's just it feels like a backstab to Kano in this situation knowing how personal the situation is but again, well said for sure. The whole, imma drop all the Jelee stuff for this new project is deff hurtful though for sure
